In the last couple of weeks, ATT has had the CBJ games listed in the on-screen guide on HD channels 1732/4, but no broadcast appeared. Very frustrating!
Last night the "dream team" gave Rick Nash an assist on a goal-that Nash wasnt even playing in.
Please get rid of Rimer and the other ****** and just have silence during the game!

In the LA game we cleared the puck during a power play and Johnson went back to fetch it and Rimer mentioned him touching it up for icing, then seemed confused when play continued. It's a minor quibble, but he does things like that all the time.

Thats the beauty of picture in picture, with my 52"tv, the PIP screen is still a good size...the smaller screen is well worth a Rimer/Davidge free night
Enh. I'll occasionally joke about the broadcasts in live chat (opening line when I hopped in last night: "who the F is 'Jean-Francois Giguere'?" ), but by and large it's tolerable IMO. Remember: it could be worse. It could be far, far worse.

Thanks, Howson, for cleaning up MacLean's toxic waste. Welcome, Kekalainen; let's get good things built!

All three of the road games were televised on my ATT on HD on 1732 or 1734, but the on-screen guide didn't list them. Are you in the Columbus ATT zone?
Reading through some of the comments takes me back to a prediction I had a while ago...

You know, he's actually doing a good job in Buffalo. I saw their game yesterday and his role for Buffalo broadcasts is being a studio expert discussing hockey and explaining couple of plays per period with the telestrator (sp?). He was a horrible color commentator for the Jackets, but looks like it was just the wrong role for him. I'm happy for him and glad he's doing well, since I was really harsh in my comments against him when he was here.

Yep, and all three were listed on the guide but the channel showed "No Programing at this Time"! Now I'm even more pissed!
I too was at the "Chris Chelios Appreciation Night - 2010". The ATT folks did broadcast HD on 1734 with no title. Thankfully, I can now relive those glory days again and again of the night when Chris was such an irreplaceable part of the CBJ offense.
I signed back up for Time Warner for the Olympics, and contemplated keeping it for a while.
Sometime this past week (I dunno when I don't watch a ton of TV) they moved their HD channels to the 1000's instead of the 400's
Surprise, surprise, surprise, nothing worked. I didn't get the game in HD because none of my cable boxes could see any channel higher than 999, and thanks to Switched Digitial Video, My Tivo only got a blank screen.
Spent the first period on the Phone with Time Warner like I did so many times last season. It's just not worth the hassle dealing with them.
Supposedly I have a tech coming today to "Fix" it. He's just going to be handed all the equipment when he gets here and told to take it with him.
I think I've mentioned this before but if the 2 "stars" were restricted from using the words "again" and "right now" they would be unable to do the game. In particular, it is not uncommon for Davidge to say again and right now each twice in the same sentence.
I think it has improved quite a bit, just the other day I saw them doing montages with actual band music and it just seemed they are trying to step it up a bit.
1. Interviewing a player from the other team after a CBJ loss.
They did it with extra enthusiasm tonight. He might as well have said, with a big grin on his face, "man, you guys really beat the **** out of us tonight! Was it as fun as it looked?!"
And tack on another production mishap (wrong player picture, as documented in the GDT).
It's a boondoggle with few peers around the NHL. By comparison, Cavaliers Live isn't pretty but at least they don't make mistakes on a nightly basis.
It'd be nice if they interviewed players from both teams and both coaches. That would require a longer postgame show though, which would cut away from airing Bubba's World. Seriously, that's what's on after the game tonight.
It'd be nice if the entire broadcast was in HD as well. I often find myself watching pre-game and game in HD and in CD for the post game.
