It seems this is Natalie Taylor's new reference.

I have a feeling Natalie has the "Jim Day" potential.... The potential where she will eventually grow on people that watch the telecast. Raffi 2 never gave me that impression....

If she sticks around, I could see Natalie Taylor drinking games, etc.

She hasn't irritated me in the least, so far. Though, maybe it's the distraction of the complete lack of any competence from the booth staff that hasn't allowed me to focus on her work.

Ease up on the new girl, Moo. If she's not your type, too bad, she's not there to get you hot. She's worked two games, so far, give her a chance.

At first I was unhappy that Craig Patrick was just going to stay in Pittsburgh and "advise from home." But if he has to view all the games by watching the FSNOH feed, perhaps he'll get just as fed up with the TV coverage that we are.

Then again, he probably will just do what many of us do. Watch the game on mute.

The lady needs to let down her hair and lose the wool coat. Other than that, she's a breath of fresh air to pantsless losers in the GDT Cat.

I loved her first behind the bench interview with Berry. Armed with her trusty little pink notebook she asked him what the Jackets needed to change for the 2nd period. Berry quizzically looked back at her and said, " There's 8 minutes left in the 1st period, we'll worry about the 2nd after we finish this period."

You'd think a woman would know what period she was in.

Haven't you noticed that all sportscasts regardless of sport now have a female "sideline" reporter? Woluld you expect FSO to be any diferent. After all, how many Cammie Granato's are there

She can form semi-coherent thoughts. That's more than Rimer. She can stay.

Pete put a link to an article in another thread, I read it, saw an additional link, and read that. Within the 2nd article I found this nugget:

Quote:
“Our broadcast team is in contract through the end of the year,” he said. “We’ll be addressing that as we go forward at the end of the season.”

I want to bring McElligott up to TV play-by-play. Yeah, that's a bit of a jump, but he's awesome - it seems like he could very well single-handedly carry a broadcast.

Wouldn't mind having George Matthews do play-by-play on TV, but I think he has a tendency to be behind the action and that might annoy some folks. That said, he is The Man on highlight-reel calls, and I still will always love him.

I don't have the hate for Rimer that so many here do, but it may well be time for him to move on to, I dunno, hosting radio shows on The Fan. Would certainly improve the place a great deal.

By this standard, it's entirely possible that no broadcast team will ever satisfy us.

Is Davidge sleeping with Mason? Why does he empty his vocabulary of superlatives on every routine save and claim "there's not much Mase could do" on every goal he allows? Sheesh.
