Malkin will probably win it if he wins the point race, I also like Ovechkin's chances.

Wow kinda surprised that OVy's winning this. Woulda thought Malkin would be in the lead. Those two are 1-2 imo.

Kane. A most valuable piece to success Chicago has gone through.

As of right now, it's not Malkin. His team is in 10th place right now. Ovechkin's team is in 2nd.

I voted for Savard, but I could easily be persuaded to change it to Mike Richards.

Ovechkin or Parise. Both teams have gone through a bunch of injuries and those guys have stepped up to lead their team to close to the top of their division.

Ovechkin. Malkin might win it, but there's another forward on his own team that is capable of sharing the offensive load. Ovechkin carried his team through a ton of injuries.

OV again. Mason might have a shot if his play continues.

Ovy held his team together when they were devastated by injuries, plus he's 2nd in the league in scoring and tied for first in goals. I vote for him.

Are non-forwards barred from winning the MVP these days? I second the guy who said Mason

Mason should win everything, including the Art Ross and Norris.

A 10th place team should not have The Hart Winner, so I don't understand why people are saying Malkin... and I'm a Malkin fan.

Washington is playing great hockey, so my vote goes to AO.

IMO, Boston is too balance a team (including goalie) to give the Hart to 1 player.

I agree, how is Malkin more valuable to his team than Ovechkin. If you take Ovechkin off the Capitals they become a 7-10 place team in the east, if you take Malkin off the Penguins, they might only go down a couple of spots in the standings, but I think if Malkin went down long enough Crosby would be the MVP.

why not?

the horrible play of the rest of the team doesn't make 1 player any less great.
