Sharks Fans Are....

Sharks fans are...

Underrated...seriously, everyone mentions the passion of Montreal fans, the loudness of Calgary and Edmonton.... I have to say, you guys stack up pretty well against them. The Shark Tank was THUNDERING during the last 2 minutes of the game today against the Canucks

I will I am a Bruins\Flyers fan... however since you guys aquired Joey T from the Bee's (my favorite player) I have always tried to watch Shark games (your West Coast so I don't see as much as I would like) I would go so far as to say I consider you guys "My Western Conference Team"

You fans though, you rock that joint and don't get enough respect, Shark Fans are hardcore!!

Mad props!! love to see the love you give those guys, you got one hell of a team, and one hell of a player with Joey T

Thanks.

The Tank is a blast to attend games at.

I was a little disappointed in how quiet the crowd was for the first 59 minutes tonight. Oh well. Got the dub, that's all that matters!

And yea, Big Joe gets a lot of love here. He recently said this is where he wants to retire. Woooo.

dude, just pick a weekend game and GO! seriously its not that hard to get there from SF. I've seen almost every professional major sport (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS) in the bay area and Sharks games are far and away the best. The atmosphere is awesome both before and after the games (provided the game was excited or Sharks won. I remember going to one game against the Ducks where Thornton scored the GWG with like 2 mins left in the 3rd and the Tank went crazy. As soon as the game was over people were high-fiving each other on the way out and still cheering... and I thought to myself wow San Jose has really become a nice hockey town.

Oh man, so many crazy moments like that.

I was at that game vs Nashville where Scott Parker went over the glass to punch Brendan Witt, but I'm gonna have to say the loudest moment was when Joe Pavelski scored in OT to force game 6 last year vs. Dallas. That was freakin' loud.

Playoffs against Edmonton. 5 on 3 PK for the Sharks was the loudest, IMO.

For such a regular on this boards, I don't understand this. And being alone should not be an issue. Just get a pair of tix and ask somebody from the Sharks boards to go with you if need be. I'll do it. And if you get them from one of the season ticket holders on hear, I'm sure they'll hook you up.

Can't say I blame them. That game was a complete bore for the vast majority of it.

Not sure how it is nowadays, but in the late 90's my brother and I went down to the tank with the intent of buying tickets off of someone that needed to unload them right before game time. Kind of side note, but a great memory, was an occasion when a nice woman gave us her two tickets for free - even after we insisted we pay her. It was a kind gesture that I will never forget.

I love Sharks fans and I've never even been to the arena. I read this board all the time because they don't whine too much, they respect each other even when they disagree on something and I could go on.

Mark my words, I will visit the Shark tank(and hopefully even meet a few posters here) before I die. It's 2941 miles(converted that for you weird Americans)away from me but it will be done.

Andrei Zyuzin's OT game winner against the Stars in the playoffs is the single loudest sporting moment I can remember.

hard to top the early days with Wing and Flame upsets, set the tone for the Building. I think a outsider doesn't realize how much this team means to the south bay. We are the largest population base in NoCal but don't have much that brings us together that we can truly claim as ours.

I was there for the 5 on 1 PK against Edmonton, and those two minutes rivaled a Penn State student section minus the vulgarity and alcoholism.

I was at this game also, I remeber the animalistic roar I heared as the puck was finally clear and was suprised to realize that I was screaming at the top of my lungs. Great fun.

Dude, there are still games with normal box-office tickets available. Just find a game against Phoenix or something, buy tickets and go. If you have a ticket, you'll find someone to go with you. Or sell it to someone here to join you. NO EXCUSES

Yeah, it's been a loooong time since I've been at the tank ether... like 4 years LOL!
I've been in 7 games overall. One of the best hockey arenas definitely.
I gotta tell ya... I kinda like the American Airlines Center too... Just don't tell anyone
But yeah, there are a lot of great places to see hockey games. Detroit has a lot of going on in that place.... Edmonton... Jersey... Toronto when they were playing some fine hockey like 6 years ago..... But San Jose is definitely up there, at the top.
