Team largely played like crap. Chalk it up to a combination of the week's letdown after playing top teams, and the Nucks skating the whole game to take away passes.
Nabby played well. I liked Boyle, Pavelski, Clowe, Lemieux, and really Semenov who played well for his abilites.
Lemieux can still skate very well and has very quick accelleration and a hard shot still. I will enjoy seeing him slotted on some of the other lines in the next few games just to see what we have. He is better than any of the other AHL alternatives thus far.
Thought the Nucks should have had at least one of the 3 stars?
Refs really let the Sedin's work picks in overtime. That should have been called before the make-up hooking.
It was a frigging boring game ... just like the ones we used to play when we came into the league with no skill players. We stood up at the blue line and clogged passing lanes - hoping for a transition goal or for the better skilled team to lose patience.
Any question that we miss Blake? How much does he mean to this team and the development of Vlasic (who had a mediocre game himself last night)
Did I mention the game was boring? Without Lemieux to keep me interested, this would have been a dreadful game to watch. My regrets to the attendees who paid good money to watch that.
The Best Sports Team in the Bay Area for 20 Years
Between the "we're the best team in the league" comment and the taunt to Kesler after the tying goal, JT's definitely playing with a chip on his shoulder right now and it's awesome to watch. With our offense no longer being The Joe Show, I think he's gonna have a monster playoff this year. *knocks on wood*
Alright so I was listening to NHL Home Ice on Sirius/XM and I forgot who said it but on of the guys there was talking about how Vancouver should have been fined for the type of play they displayed. He was saying it was a 1-4 and sometimes 0-5 trap. He literally said he felt sorry for the Sharks fans that went to the game and felt that the Canucks owe them an apology! Also, that he was glad they ended up losing and they shouldn't have even received that one point with the horrible display of hockey.
That was Jamie Baker on the radio. He also said he felt sorry for Randy who called the game on the TV side during the post game show. Hilarious!
I was there. Was one of the most frustrating games to see in person...my wife and I agreed it was painful to watch except for about the last 3 minutes.
