The Avs announcers are saying a lot of great things about the Kings.

Umm no. He's been taking terrible shots all season long. It has nothing to do with Zeiler.

They are. They've been very complimentary and I haven't detected any homerism out of them---yet.

So far...the only warranted penalty against us was that too many men call...and the LINESMEN could have called that one...

Because fro/brown got stuck out on the ice with Johnson after the icing....so they just put kopitar out centering with sully/zeiler.

I agree that he has been taking terrible shots, but I certainly would argue that him being a bottom 6 player on this team has something to do with it. He is a pride player and has a temper, he has been taking a lot of low percentage shots this year over passing to his teamates. I see it as his way of rebelling for being demoted and not trusting his teamates. I am not defending him, but he certainly doesn't have Spezza setting him up out there. He has to take what he can get.

Why the hell do you guys bash on Zeiler, I swear you are all blind. He did what he had to do and he had a solid shift.

Figure it out what the hell he does, and then watch his play.

The Kings like a challenge. Man not a way to start a back to back game.

I don't see anyone giving him the finger. Most people are upset that this team has to be put in a position where bottom 6 players are playing better than top 6 and that top 6 players are being swapped with bottom 6 in line position.

Actually, over the last few games i think O'Sullivan has been in good scoring position and getting some good shots in. I think that part has been good, its just that he isn't scoring, or he is missing. Still gripping the stick or sometimes maybe rushing the play. He just needs to relax a little, which probably won't happen until he is scoring. Damn vicious cycle.

I agree he won't get anyone setting him up too well on this line, and likewise he won't be able to set too many plays up, but i have noticed Zeiler has been creating some space for him to take those shots that don't go in the net(but i believe they will eventually)

The new NHL...where defense is not allowed to be played anymore.

I remember when a good stick-on-stick slash was great defense; now you've got these sticks that break on wrist shots and, in turn, break in half on slashes and it's a call every time.

It's another symptom of what is ailing the NHL.

As for Zeiler, he's not just hunting for bodychecks the past few games. If he can bring the hitting while not taking himself out of position while playing good defense, then he is an ideal 4th line forward. Hands of stone for sure but we shouldn't rely on the 4th line to all put in 10 goals a year.

Westgarth hasn't made any bad plays which is good but he's vocal on the bench which I like. Loved how he skated over to Quick at the end of the period to meet him on the ice and tell him "good job" as opposed to just waiting for him to make it to the bench. Seems like a real "rah-rah" guy and the type of enforcer the team and fans really rally around.
