Hopefully the Habs will realize and remember they should've played harder last night against a much worse team than Jersey (for instance Philly's won 12 straight against Atlanta), considering Mtl has only won 2 of the last 25 games in NJ coming into tonight.

Long way to go yet, but NJ is looking very good so far.

Does anyone think the Habs struggles on the road, especially in the SE, come from the arenas they go to being dead atmospheres especially compared to the Bell Centre? The Habs usually thrive with a crazy crowd, and big Hab contingents got them wins during their last three visits to the usually difficult-to-win-at Florida.
Its going to get boring now as the Devils will sit back in the neutral zone..... Habs needed to get the lead

When is Brisebois going to be permanently retired? He cannot let Martin be so far ahead of him.

Kovalev draws a penalty then sits on the bench for the full powerplay.

Why can't we be like New Jersey? I don't mean defensive-oriented, I just mean able to win year in year out without a ton of high-end talent. This Hab team is never short on talent, but always manages to execute poorly when push comes to shove. And Jersey is the kind of play we will face in the playoffs so they'd better get used to it. The Habs may have a top 5 winning % in the NHL at the moment, but they still haven't shown they can go on the road and win the tough games and do it without getting too fortunate. These are games we should be doing way better with. The Devils have scored the first goal on us in New Jersey nearly every time, although we also lost twice when scoring first so who knows?

Are you seriously kidding me? He has been stellar so far. He let in a clear cut breakaway chance. Hardly been shaky.

The D should've known the penalty was ending any second and should've backed up sooner as I gather Price was slamming his stick to indicate such.

I think why we suck again against NJ is because of no Smolinski. We should have kept him and only dressed him for those 4 games and kept him in tow if we face them in the playoffs. Yep, that would be genius.

Huge part of the play was awesome pass by Elias...that's skill, not luck. And Price also wasn't in any "unlucky" position. Anyway, I understand that it hurts to concede such goal after quite strong powerplay.

It where they play.... not alot of fans not alot of media means no pressure.....and they have had a guy named Marty Brodeur guarding the nets for them for about 17 years maybe you have heard of him?

Anyone who thinks Brodeur is the best goalie ever - just needs to look at the Devils this year. Still in contention with Clemenson. Bah.
