Ottawa-Philadelphia Suspensions

I don't believe anyone should get suspended for what happened on Friday, but I haven't heard any talk about this as a possibility. Given that this was the most penalized game in NHL history and the hyperbole created going into the game due to the Havlat incident, there might be a case for premeditation by either side. And since today's NHL totally frowns on "black marks" like this on the game, wouldn't the big weenie in the league office want to send a message?

Like I said, I don't believe that there were any outright suspendable acts from Friday (whereas Havlat's actions were rightly punished), but I'm surprised that there hasn't been a response from head office. Thoughts?

It's a bit late for suspensions IMHO.

Particularly given that both teams have played a game since then.

Surprised neither team was fined though. Anyone remember what the consequences of the Anaheim-Calgary brawl from a couple years ago was? It was pretty similar and I could have sworn Greg Gilbert got fined or suspended a couple of games.

Suspensions would have been handed down already.

The only one who got one was Markov and that was automatic because of game misconducts.

I know it's late for suspensions, I'm just surprised that nothing came out of it...
