Italics denotes player voted as starter.

Lineups are hypotheticals based on the fan-voted starters and my own personal choices for the remaining player allocation. Let's face it, lines are completely irrelevant in an ASG.

God, what a horrible excuse for a GDT, Nem!

I hope Seto will punish everyone on the ice!

the players routinely half-ass the ASG, so it's only fair I do the same for its GDT. I made it in about an hour. That's a record for me in terms of GDT construction start-to-finish.

I won't be watching either game or skillfest. When they start breaking up the NHL scedule for an entire freaking week for something meaningful I might start watching again but the All"stars" are a joke. Bettman has ruined it.

Nice to watch practice. Boyle had a fun interview.

Not everyone is wearing their "usual" numbers. For the Sharks:

Boyle 22
Marleau 10
Thornton 97

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/sharks/...from-montreal/

Marleau-Thornton-Iginla
Boyle-Niedermayer

At least to start the game. McLellan apparently plans to allow everyone to play with everyone else.

Setoguchi (and the sophomores, along with Eastern Conference squad) is using the Montreal Canadiens home locker room. (Rookies are with the WC in visitor's dressing room.)

McLellan's son advances in Silver Stick tournament, so his family won't be joining him.

I can get Marleau not having 12 because of Jarome Iginla, but who has 19? Unless Joe just always chooses to go with 97 in ASG/international competition now.

IIRC, Toews has 19. (It was nominally agreed that 19 would be "reserved" for Yzerman. New generation?) And JT often wears 97 at non-NHL RS games.

Nah. I have GDT OCD so my usual level of dedication goes far above and beyond what any sane person would normally think about doing. Furthermore, I put like zero creativity into it too. Logos and pics on star field backgrounds.... ooooo that's original.

Your GDTs always have a lot of thought put into them.

I had a dream last night ...

West 11, East 0

But in my dream, Nabby played the first period, and I can't quite recall who the scorers were for the Sharks' guys. Weird ish ...

LS, you probably posted a link with this, but can someone help me out: Who's the last participant in the breakaway challenge? Ovechkin, Kane, Getzlaf, St. Louis, Kovalev, and ?

LNH is NHL in French? That seems kinda odd. Nice GDT, if this is what it's supposed to be.

Marleau not in fastest skater.

JT not in accuracy shooting.

Boyle not in the non-existent stick handling event.
