Awesome that the Isles fans are already gaga over Tavares.

As far as who will be traded, do you mean from our squad or just in general?

Prucha, Dawes, Korpikoski, all our mid-level prospects, maybe even dubinsky for the right price although I hope not. Draft picks too.

I'm hoping if Toronto doesn't expect the world we can get Antropov.

I'm not positive Guerin and Weight are necessarily out, for some reason they seem to like playing with the Isles. Comrie is as good as gone.

Does the NHL really want Tavares playing in Kansas City?

Guerin and Weight?It's 2009.Not 1999.

Isles would be better off drafting Hedman.

Probably but I would feel worse for Hedman being on the Isles...Tavares, not so much.

Yes, that's all we need. An inconsistent, injury prone forward with size when we have Grachev and Anisimov coming very soon.

We can get anyone by trading Blair Betts . Why not take a flier?

Leaf fans are valuing Antropov waaaaaaay to much. He is a UFA and yea he is a good player but Dawes and Prucha for Antropov is a good deal for the Leafs

I would do it if I am the Rangers just to get a guy who has potential if he plays with Gomez

I would like to see one of Gomez/Rosival/Redden gone just to make our cap situation sane again. Two could be bonus but let's not get greedy here.

I see the more probable and tradeable roster players as
Dawes, Prucha, Fristche, Korpikoski, Dubinsky, Kalinin, & Voros.

In other news, everyone's favorite rumor monger had this up a few days ago.

Quote:
The team that most wants Prucha is the Penguins, but the Rangers aren't moving him in the division. Four other teams are now in on this. Vancouver, Colorado, Minnesota, Buffalo and Nashville.

I would give Vancouver a distinct advantage at this point...
four other teams you say?

I like how the OP misspells Tavares in his handle... Unless he's a fan of outfielder Wily Taveras

We need toughness and scoring but we dont have the assets to get em, Im sorry but Im not too confident in this team. We are soft and we cant score, how much will you win with those qualities?

he's an UFA at the end of the season. Risk-Reward situation. He plays well down the stretch and in the playoffs we try to sign him, if he doesn't then it didn't work out. I'm only saying we do it for the right price, and i'd take the gamble if Anisimov isn't ready to come up and all it costs is a 2nd rounder and a mid-level prospect, maybe a late pick too. Grachev and Anisimov probably won't be up anytime soon, especially Grachev. Anisimov may get a call-up if there's an injury but it'll take a really good performance for him to stay.

Love the idea of Pronger as a Ranger. Hate the thought of what it would take to get him here.

Because he sees Tavares like I do probably. He'll be a good player, but he is not going to be an elite NHL player imo. Hedman on the other hand, from what Ive seen has the potential to be Pronger-esque.

People question his edge. He might be frustrating like Staal is. Once in a while remembers to be physical, but naturally plays to his strength of puck possession and positioning. I'm not even sure Hedman has that down. Offense is much better though.
