I think you are out of your mind as well.

Please enlighten me as to what is so unrealtistic about this scenario. I really want to hear why this could probably never happen.

1)Best prospect in our system.

2)Will have a cheap contract for a few years which will help out the cap.

3)Not many people trade Top 2 picks before they even hit professional hockey ice (not counting draft day)

4) Because he is the Grim Riemer.

so that means what? his contract wont be that cheap either with bonues. If he is goign to be a problem sigingin they will mov ehim, not hard logic to understand. The said thing is they wotn get #2 pick value coming back imo.

How is he out of his mind? I think there it is a reasonable assumption that he may get moved if he returns for a junior year. If he returns that means he is either refusing to play in the AHL or he doesn't have his priorities straight. It's a huge concern.

I guess all I can say further is: We'll see.

Bonuses in rookie contracts count against the cap whether or not they are reached or not.

You make a good point. I did say Top 2 and not Top 3 though, but still a good point.

if he does decide to go back i think he stops being untouchable. though thats a far cry from definitely traded. a propsect of that calibre could solicit a monster return. homer saw what happened with jmfj and will definitely be playing his cards tight.
