Jack Todd Article

Interesting read, whether or not you like Todd.

Even Kilger, of course, is 10 years too young for the Leafs - who if they fail to win a Stanley Cup, will at least qualify for a discount on the dressing-room Depends dispenser. Brian Leetch is not the player he was a decade ago and Ron Francis is not the player he was even two years ago. But he can still win draws and when you're still lugging around those black-and-white photos of your last Stanley Cup parade, it doesn't matter.

No kidding......I was just shaking my head yesterday listening to Joel Quenneville talk about the acquisition of Leetch and how he dominated the series way back in the early '90's when they won the cup. Hello.....we are a decade later. You won't have that sort of domination still. He is still a productive player.....but come on.....speed forward to reality and one decade later people. Sheesh....if they want to live in the past....why don't they go back to 1967 then?
And then there is current Leaf great Chad Kilger...who will no doubt pay great dividends. What a steal? What a coup to nab him off waivers? Who ever thought the Laffs would be picking through Montreal's garbage?....nuff said. Todd's right.
