That had to be one of the best all star games ever. You could see as the 3rd was dwindling away that all players were picking it up a little. OT was exciting ( everyone was trying), and so was the shoot out!!

**** yeah, Kofalef tore it up!

Congrats to Montréal doing an excellent job representing Canada at the NHL All-Star-Game 2009, twas truly an exciting event from the beginning violinists, to the eventual shootout goals by our EAST ambassadors Kofalef and Ofechkin!

im not gonna lie...when kovy missed in ot twice, i said theres the kovy im use too. sometimes i just get to caught up in wanting somebody to score so bad. good too see him get the game winner in the shootout. hopefully he has a great second half of a season.

Good job Kovy!

You've now made sure you'll never be left alone in the offensive zone for the rest of the season (as if there wasn't one before...)

No he hasn't. In fact it is the opposite. PJ dumps on Kovy whnever he can.

He has ripped Kovy for being soft and for not giving enough NO MATTER who he's playing with.

TONIGHT: Kovy showed everybody that he's not done just yet and that PJ is an ass.

Payback is such a biatch!!

I didn't watch the game, but I don't understand; I thought the East were going to get blown out because the West is better and all those scrubs from the Habs were voted in .

Great Allstar game. I agree, couldn't have written it any better...Kovey being named MVP. I called it as soon as he scored his break away goal. Actually I thought he would get the hat trick as well. Anyway, awesome job Kovey!!! We have some unfinished business in the second half of the season.

There were blogs and hockey analysts calling the fan voting a joke because of Kovalev. Looks like the fans voted the player that would become the MVP

That is what you would call owned.

I wonder who selected the MVP? The media like the 3 starts in a regular game? Gary Butman? The gm's?

Anyways, COngrats kovy!! He played a real real great game full of excitement! He disappointed me in the shootout competition, but man, did he blow everybody away on the 2nd day!

This is the kind of thing that can make Kovalev turn his game up a notch, not that he has been bad, actually he's played well, but the fire he had last year can comeback and hopefully inspire Plekanec and the whole team to finally play up to their potential.

Knowing Kovy's personality, when he feels loved, there's nothing that can stop him, because he thrives on giving back, on and off the ice.
