Screw Forsberg

Keith Tkachuk is playing solid. Get him as a rental for the playoffs or possibly keep him. His cap hit would be 930k I believe at the deadline, 4 mil next seson. Maybe it can be deja vu, send Metro, a prospect and pick the other way. We dont have to many vets on this team. He would be a huge asset.

Draft day we could deal him or lupul for some picks easily. This defenitly would be the year to double down.

$4 million next season? How in the holy **** would that work? Not to mention the assets you'd have to trade to acquire him. Forsberg costs nothing but cash.

Ummm . . . what about next year's cap supposedly going down?? Any trade for Tkachuk would need to involve at least one of the following if not two: Knuble, Lupul, Jones, Upshall, Metro. I'd rather bring in Forsberg and not get rid of any of them, especially since we can do a one-year prorated deal.

The thing about Forsberg is that you dont have to give up anything for him.

exactly, and I still think Forsberg is a better player, and would help this team more. What he does to the game is something i've never seen before

I doubt we would give up that much for Tkachuk. Blues aren't going anywhere, teams that are contenders arent going to give up the farm for him. Ive always liked the guy and he played solid for the Thrashers last year during thier 4 game run.

Forsberg, I see being a bust, with his foot or going elsewhere and trust me id love to see him come back here I just don't see it happening. Tkachuk would be a realistic option if we needed another forward.

4 mil is alot so Im sure we could get our picks back at least.

Maybe Metro, Jones and ??

This team's biggest strength is our forwards. We shouldn't give away assets just for the sake of adding another one. The only reason Forsberg is in discussion is because he is an all time great player that we don't have to give up anything for. It is not essential that we add someone, Forsberg is just a low risk luxury.

If we were to trade Metropolit for Tkachuk, it would be the second time they were traded for each other. I wonder how many times that's happened.

no on Tkachuk
maybe 5 years ago, not now.
If the Flyers make a trade deadline deal its for a defenseman. Unless of course Briere has a "setback" then all bets are off.

I'm not sure if you've heard, but Bobby Clarke is actually no longer the general manager of the Flyers...therefore, I don't see this happening.

The Allstar Game is hardly a litmus test as well. Our own Jeff Carter led all forwards in ice time but had 0 points and a -3. Maybe we should get rid of him?

Yeah, really.

OP goes on to say how Tkachuk's a veteran and the team doesn't have enough. Forsberg's a vet.

OP goes on to say how Tkachuk's playing solid. Peter Forsberg hasn't been as awful as solid since he was a fetus, and even then, there's rabid debates over it.

OP goes on to insinuate Keith Tkachuk would be more valuable than Peter Forsberg. Sonny goes on to be mildly angered and offended while thinking the OP is stupid.

Forsberg's failure led to 4 star Nashville players making their way to this team, helping to move out of being the last place team and pushed the Flyers to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Forsberg's inability to stay health >>>>>>>>>>>> anything Tkachuk could do for this team.

Yup. Couldn't have said it any better myself.

As someone who grew up in Winnipeg and watched that selfish ******* help move the Jets out of the city, I never want to see him anywhere near a team that has a chance to win a Cup. He can rot in St. Louis.

That is all.
