Pshh, let me look into my crystal ball: the Avs will lose 3-1, and we'll be able to look forward to watching Budaj emotionlessly fish the puck out of the net....against Toronto!

That was called by the letter of the law. We can speculate all we want, fact is you can not see the puck cross the line. Besides that, it was called no goal on the ice, there is no conclusive evidence to overturn that. The same call would have been made if Raycroft made that save.

There went my prediction of a 2-1 OT win.

Man, this is frustrating. The Avs have played so well in this game, but just can't seem to catch a break. Every puck seems to just barely bounce against them.

They have?

Or is it just the fact that we're not getting smoked 6-0? Pretty boring game so far...

Once again, like the last 4-5 years, it's special teams and goaltending that are the difference. 5 on 5, this team usually isn't all that bad. SSDD. And until the coaching staff is addressed, and the goalie issue fixed, it will continue to be that way.

This team is playing hard, but with absolutely no system in place. You can tell the players are trying, but nobody seems to know where to go. Our PP is still pathetic. Its like watching a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off.

McNab just said "the Wolski line has had a lot of good chances"...

Apparently, a Ryan Smyth slapshot 30 feet away from the net on the outside is now considered a good scoring chance. Gimme a break.

We are being outshot 21 to 9 thru two periods...don't know any possible way how that can be outplaying the sharks.

You're right. My comments are basically reflecting their 5-on-5 play.

Well, I didn't think the shot total was anything close to that at the time I posted my comment. Not that I was looking at shot totals... I was just looking at the way we were playing 5-on-5. (Though now that you mention it, I thought I heard we were also outshooting them at some point there... I could be mistaken.)

Kids, Cody McLeod appears to be far superior to David Jones when it comes to being a top line Power Forward.

In addition, while they might be bad in some ways, my God is this team unlucky. They get what seems like no breaks.

They just showed Joe Sakic in the press box. He has a splint on his hand. Nice to see Joe again.
