I was reading the Panthers GDT before last game, and a few people said that this is a game that Florida "should win".

It really surprised me until I thought about it. Dallas has sort of become one of those teams to the rest of the league. Hopefully they can do enough to drop that moniker this year and make the playoffs.

That sucks to think of the team in those terms.

Edit: I was curious if that was the perception by other fans around the league, BigG44, but I didn't want to actually confirm it by reading other teams' GDT.

I usually read the other team's GDT at some point and it definitely is. Once you drop to the bottom of the standings everyone assumes the win. Part of that is I don't think fans around the league ever thought the Stars or their players were that good, even last year.

Well if the powerplay is ever going to score Atlanta's PK would be one of the most willing to let it happen. However, our powerplay inadequacies tend to bring out the best in pentalty killers.

But I still want them to score on the PP!! (kind of like I want to win the lottery)

The Stars will basically be underdogs for the rest of the year, even when they secure a playoff spot in the coming months. I'm actually impressed, for a team to go from dead last in the NHL at one point, to where they are now, to where they'll likely end up. I want other teams to take our Stars lightly; that's what makes victory sweetest.

It's funny how little you hear about Enstrom these days on HF compared to last year. He's not even having a sophomore slump. His point totals are down, but he's still played very solid defense while absorbing large minutes and the Thrashers' PP is in the top half of the league. I guess part of the reason for the points is the additions of Hainsey and Schneider taking PP minutes.
