Nice victory but with a better finishing it could have been 5-0. The PP really needs work.

That was Turco's best save of the game there on Perrin. Hooray, shutout.

That was more a Turco I'm used to seeing. Nice game from him, though he's still overplaying some. The defense also denied everything they had to to win. Good for thim.

Lehtonen played well. This could have been 5-0 easy.

Second.

He shut out the Coyotes in a shootout loss.

STARS WIN!

I'll take it! 35th career shut out for Marty Turco. Dallas...records their 10th win over the Atlanta Thrashers moving to 10-1-0 all time.

Lehtinen and Ott score the goals with Ribs getting 2 assists. Dallas wins again! 2-0.

Lehtonen is a beast. I'm guessing consistency has been his problem this season?

I would hope the Thrashers offense doesn't perform like that every game.

Just wondering???

With this shutout Turco's GAA must have leaped out of 3.00.
At least I hope so...

Might be around 3.01 or 3.02.

Was at 3.08 before the game.

Even if they didn't score it actually looked like a powerplay when Richards and Niskanen were on the point. If the powerplay can create at least ½ of those scoring chances every game they will start racking up the PPG's.

That's what I was saying throughout the GDT. I was actually impressed how they were moving the puck around and getting open shots.

It would've been OK if that was all 5 on 4 PP, but to have that much time 2 men up and get nothing ... there are no moral victories. They didn't even move it across the crease once from down low, or really ever split the PK's passing lanes.

I guess it's worth mentioning that Dallas has the 8th best points percentage in the conference now I know we have Detroit up next on the road so that will probably change, but it's nice to finally see some signs of progress being made. If every team in the west keeps on playing at the same pace as they have for the first half of the season, Dallas is good for a playoff spot

Well hopefully Zetterberg(Back Issues) is out for the game against Dallas and lets also hope for Osgood to to suck like last night against Columbus.

It would help to shoot the puck somewhere in the vicinity of the net. Even Razor slipped away from his Modano man-love to point out that it might be a good idea to keep the puck in the rink on a PP, especially a 5 on 3.

It was great to see Ribeiro and Richards play most of the PP minutes. Why would you take those guys off at all? Quite a few players play 1:30 to 2:00 per PP. That should be SOP for the Stars with Richards and Ribeiro.
