Gameday: Blue Jackets @ Wild - 2004-03-14

Finally back for a home game. It seems like it's been more than two weeks. The Blue Jackets are not good on the road, but they do usually play a pretty decent game against us. Third of four meetings coming up tonight, and we're 1-1 on the season so far. Walz is still out, Dupuis is still out, Johnson is out sick, but Willie will be back in.

Wild win 3-1.

I'm not sure where to go with the score. Right now I'm leaning towards a Columbus win. Maybe this afternoon it will be different.

4-3 Columbus

Wallin picks up his first point. Gaborik picks up 2 points. I'm non-committal on the others.

I doubt there will be any fights. The only player that is a willing pugalist is Wiemer. Johnson is out for the game. I'm not sure anyone else will throw down unless provoked.

Just watching the pregame show and I was wondering is it just me or have Mike Greenlay and Matt McConnell been saying Wallin's first name wrong? It's really starting to get on my nerves and I was wondering if I was just wrong. I always thought it was Ree-kard, but they're saying it Rick-urd. It wouldn't matter to me if they would just say Wallin, but they almost always say Rickard Wallin during the game.

A couple of lucky goals right through Denis, and a laser from Schultz. I'm sure looking forward to more of that from him in the future. Nice win overall, good comeback.
