I think everybody thought a bit too much about this.
Komisarek is on the ice more often than Higgins. Higgins play with Koivu. So, really, no sense in giving the A to Higgins again, since Koivu will always take the captaincy duties while Higgins is on the ice.
It probably matters very little to Komi and Higgins who got the letter. Both are friends, and as said by Koivu, losing the letter changed nothing in how Higgins behaves with the team.
And whoever said "english media is no better", well, Red Fisher compensates for PJ Stock. Pretty much nobody does for the slew of idiots in the french media
Edit: Except maybe Dany Dubé, and Joel Bouchard might have that distinction sooner than later.
As much as it makes sense, as much as it's not a big deal.....I just don't think you can do that. I agree with the "experts" that you don't put a C on someone 'cause the real captain has a headache and can't play, and you don't remove an "A" from somebody unless he really deserved to lose it. Just goes on with the rest of the things....
Carbo toying with the media and people take the bait... again...
I think it's more about protecting the players. If he said he did it because he's not happy about something Chris does or dosen't do or to give him a wake up call he would have to deal with the media for weeks.
Kudos to him, he could have thrown him under the bus like like that clown in Edmonton.
