The key to the deal is Ossi Vaananen.

I guess so.
Hope Souray comes back so he can take Morris' spot in my pool.

I don't get this deal.

I'm a big fan of Vaananen's, but don't see him worth a heck of a lot right now. Gratton's got a big salary, minimal production. I can see his worth in Colorado seeing as how they have no size down the middle and Nikolishin's been injured too much to be depended upon for the third line, but giving up Morris seems like a lot to pay.

Just for comparison sake, Drury fetched Warrener and Reinprecht. I would definitely prefer Warrener/Reinprecht over Vaananen/Gratton.

This is do or die for the Avs, I cant believe how many quality prospects they've dealt this year. They went from a lot a defensive deapth to none at all. If Pierre Lacroix doesn't win it this year, it might be trouble for the next.
