The Thing That Should Not Be
Damn, no Cyanide or Judas Kiss. Guess I'll have to buy the album of XBL. Damn you intelligent marketing!
It's too bad that Metallica decided to go with GH and not Rock Band. GH managed to make Hot for Teacher sound like ****. I'll still get the game in hopes of it sounding better than GH3/GH4.
Probably the best one since GH 2. Only "bad" song is Ace of Spades and that's only because it's been on 3-4 other games. Mastodon/Machine Head/Lynyrd skynyrd/Judas Priest/AIC/Queen/The Sword/Diamond Head and 20+ Metallica songs. Terrible?

The songs on GH don't sound as loud/clear as they do on Rock Band. The notes are also a little off.
I've always been somewhat of a Metallica hater, but that's neither here nor there. I just want to say the lineup of "guest" bands is nothing short of amazing, but it sucks that they only have one song each.
Actually I guess what I really want is a Kyuss track pack when it comes down to it.
"Back up at the beginning of this article I mentioned that Neversoft has offered a ton of goodies for the fans. Every song in the game will have a handful of bonuses attached to them, with one of the biggest being Metallifacts. Here, you watch the song played in the game (you can't play in this mode) while facts about the band, song and anything else associated with the track pop up on the screen. If you're thinking this sounds like VH1's Pop-Up Video, then you already know exactly what the expect.
In addition to this, all of the Metallica tracks in the game will include some sort of video component. This ranges from well-produced stuff down to handycam footage shot by some fans in a 200-person club with the band playing cranked up to 11. Very cool stuff. You'll also find tons of images, lyric sheets, posters, gig notes and pretty much anything else you can think of. If it can be scanned or photographed, you'll probably find some form of it here. Of course, you'll also find behind-the-scenes footage and other making-of stuff tossed into the mix. In other words, it doesn't look like we'll be running into a shortage of content with this one."

It does. Something happened in the production/mastering phase of this release which makes the CD sound like **** when you crank it. Search YouTube. There's tons of examples of the GH version. Some even compare/contrast the two.

So nothing added to the gameplay itself? Who cares...
Well, they added Expert + mode which adds a mega-ton of bass notes to the drums, you'll need to buy an extra pedal for this.
Also they have the music creator thing with Metallica sounds added it for quicker song making I guess.
