the Flyer's 3rd round pick in '05 is already Oilers property.

Kings will fall out of a playoff spot and trade Palffy to Toronto for Colaiacovo/Steen + Stajan/Antropov + picks (not 1st rounders.)

Lou would be crazy to trade Hale or Martin with Stevens out right now. That said, Ahonen will end up in EDM someday. :p

I'm really starting to think Ahonen will be coming to Edmonton.. I've yet to even read any notable speculation outside of fan proposals but it just seems like the perfect fit for next season. You have to feel bad for a goaltender stuck behind Marty Brodeur! I wouldn't be too shocked to see Jason Smith sent off to Florida or New Jersey..

Never understood why the Debs took Ahonen. They grabbed him late first early second right? Seems like a wasted pick no matter how he turns out.

I can see a package deal that centers around Jason Smith for Viktor Kozlov coming up.

I also predict Yannick Perreault to be dealt to Nashville for a mid-level prospect or a draft pick. What a fit that would be...

Lou seems to pick the best player at that time, no matter what the position is.

I'd love to se Seidenberg out of Philadelphia... I just don't see a great future for him there... Okay, he might win some award in the AHL...

To LA: Jaroslav Spacek
To Col: Aaron Rome + 5th round pick in 2004

LA needs defensive help in the worst way due to injuries every other day. Spacek provides some much needed help on the blueline and can be paired with either Modry or Visnovsky. With hopefully Miller coming back, it gives LA a solid top 6 with Norstrom, Miller, Visnovsky, Spacek, Modry, and Corvo.

Darkhorse:

To Vancouver: Alex Zhamnov and Steve Sullivan
To Chicago: Daniel Sedin, R.J. Umberger, and Fedor Fedorov

This is just a major darkhorse, so I am just throwing it out there. It seems as if Chicago is giving up so by getting rid of these two guys, and getting some solid youth in return just makes sense. Vancouver, obviously, gets two guys that help them into a major threat for a cup run.

Slats....do you honestly think NJ would do that, we give up the three most promising players and that leaves us with Madden, Rupp, Larionov, and maybe Foster as our centers.
