He was the best d-man on the ice yesterday in the u-20 national team's game against Carleton University.

He skates well, has the size, good hands, throws checks, plays smart defensively and has a bomb of a shot. Is there anything he's actually bad at? There has to be some kind of weakness to his game.

I have seen all his games he's played in SEL, and no he hasn't shown any weaknesses. Actually it took him probably 6-7 games before he even made a single damn mistake this season (No I'm not kidding).

His weakness if anything is his age, but that isn't a weakness at all.

I've heard that he's got terrible taste in music. Not sure how that'll go down with the NHL scouts.

I also heard from a source close to Håkan Andersson that his fashion sense is "below par"

How could the franchise that drafts him ever expect to sell tickets with this kind of marketability?

qouted for the truth..

No but seriously. That kid doesn´t surprise ppl anymore, not us that have seen him play anyways. He´s already a decent, if not good SEL d-man at the age of 17. If he continues to develop(physically, mentally and ofc, his skillset) the sky is the limit for Adam

Funny comment from teammate Yared Hagos:

Quote:
Vem är – enligt dig – bäst i AIK?
Adam Larsson.
http://www.folkbladet.nu/?p=160880

...and a very poor attempt at translating it:

Who is AIK's best player according to you?
Adam Larsson. He is the most skillful at only 16. When I first saw him in preseason I had difficulties in judging his age. Then they told me that he was sixteen after skating out to practice with "galler" (that barbed-wire face mask that young players use in Europe and WJC). At first I thought he had a jaw injury or something. I was speechless when they told me that the kid was only sixteen. There is no limit to how good he can become.

Not a surprise at all, but this reminds me of how awesome this WJC will be.

maybe and no. he loves his club. he will stay and jump to the NHL right away. maybe in 2011 after the draft or in 2012 when his contracts with AIK ends.

I doubt it, I don't see the point. He's getting plenty of ice time in a better league.

Better or worse can be disputed depending on where he ends up, but Adam would gain a lot from learning and understanding the NA game and expectations if he wants to make an immediate impact in the NHL.

The biggest issue with entering to the CHL system is that he doesn't get as much practice time, which stuns the development of many upcoming talents. In the past nobody paid attention, but as of late, it's become more of a concern with many coaches and scouts and has brought the college option back on the menu, at least in the U.S.

Has he announced what records he will break next season yet?

I've struggled to find a site that lists youth player records in Elitserien. It'd be nice to know what records he will break before he actually breaks them.

Victor Hedman got the record for he record for u-20 defensemen with 21 points seems very possible that Larsson break that record next season.

Daniel Sedin got the record for u-19 players over all with 42 point, seems impossible to reach.

Aha. Didnt know Eliteprospects had the all-time option in there. 42 points looks hard. Unless your name is Adam Larsson that is.
