Look at Jay Bo. Did that look like a guy worried about trade rumors or his contract tonight?

What happened to ''contract year'' players?! Do we suddenly have none aside from Lang?!
Well J-BO is playing in Florida. Seriously, how many beat writers do they have? How many people even expected them to make the playoffs at the beginning of the season? Compare that to the huge hype around this season. The ceremonies, the plaza, the All-Star game and all the other celebrations.

Pile that on top of having to play for new contracts with other players also playing for new contracts and voila, you have the Habs

If your putting this on Price you obviously haven't been watching, Habs were playing this bad for Halak too...only difference was they were winning games 5-4, 6-5 by out scoring the other team...not out playing them.

Price just dropped an F' bomb ''worst f***ing time of my life''

Carbo:

- We were outclassed.

- We have no chemistry.

- We showed no character.

- We did well with a bunch of kids for a month and a half...maybe we need to go back to that...

- Confidence is fragile. When you are playing well, it's there.

- Still think we have a good team and we can get out of this.

- Gotta get back to basics. Not consistent enough to win regularly in this league.

- There's always adversity...we talked about it last week, teams like TB and FLA will try hard and go all out to win any game to move up right now...if we want to win, we have to do the same thing. Last year, we were 6th or 7th and because we went all-out in every game we moved up. There's no secret.

- Can't win by giving up 4 or 5 goals a game.

And to think about it I had such a good feeling coming into tonight's game...

That must had something to do with all that beer stacked in my fridge!

Now, the beer is gone and I'm feeling down again.

The last problem with this team is the goaltending.
I didn't say the contrary did I? Learn how to read. I said that he wasn't ready to be a saviour and that he's not ready alone to make up cup contender? Why? 'Cause saviours could actually make up for poor teams like we have right now. As far as I'm concerned, he's not saving us. BUT IT'S NOT HIS FAULT, I KNOW.

****in expectations needs to be lowered once again, and making the playoffs is now the only goal, again. I made a comment about Price but 'cause that's who I wanted to comment on....doesn't mean I don't think the rest of the team is fine, I keep bashing them if you haven't notice...

I just don't want Gainey to go and make that freakin trade 'cause we're suppose to be only 1 or 2 guys away from promised land. WE'RE NOT. And while he may be the last problem on this team, he's not a solution either.

As far as I'm concerned, the team is a mess. And last time I checked, he's part of the team.

Me saying he's befuddled means I agree with you... He doesn't know what to do.

Whether it's because of the players or because he doesn't have a clue, I dunno. I'm not sure anybody without a clear understanding of the inner workings of the team could know.

So, we lost because 5-1 the great O'byrne wasn't in the lineup and Andrei played with Kovalev ?

Many of the fans here are a bunch of clowns. Stanley Cup one day. Rebuilding the entire team the day after.

Sorry but I trust Carbo and his decisions over all these guys.

It's what 3 years Carbo is coach and we keep having the same lazy issues on this team. Players change, but the mentality stays the same.

Mentality comes from behind the bench, start with that, then we'll start looking at trading players. As a gm looking in at our team, I wouldn't want any of our players.
The mentality of the team comes from the players Bob Gainey puts in place.

The fact is, the team has put in place players who have a HISTORY of inconsistent and uninspired play. The likes of Kovalev, Brisebois, Lang, Tanguay have all worn out their welcome with fans or management or both at one point in their careers. Higgins, Kostitsyn brothers, Pleks give inconsistent effort and intensity.

The players in place don't have the mentality.

Its odd watching a team with a GM who has players that don't match the style of his hand picked coached.

Pleks and Subban for Erik Cole

Andrei and Sergei Kostitsyn, Kyle Chichura, 1st and 2nd rounder for Lecavalier and Malone.

New Playoff lineup lineup:

Malone Lecavalier Kovalev
Tanguay Koivu Cole
Latendresse Lapierre Higgins
Pacioretti Lang D'Agostini
Laraque
Kostopoulos

Minors for cap reasons:
Begin
Dandenault

It wasn't Carbo's fault, but I think the line juggling surely didn't help. Kosty and Kovy doesn't work and Lang with Kovy doesn't work anymore.

If Sergei can only play with this brother, I think it is time to get rid of him then too.

seriously

those kind of excuses annoy the heck out of me. there is always new excuse here after every loss. it starts with effort. then consistency. neither of which the habs seem to beleive in.

look at lecavalier as well. he has been dominating since the rumors.

And many other fans invent things so to be interesting. Give me the last time posters were saying we had the team for the Stanley Cup.....And then, again it's only the Habs board is it? Some people needs to stop inventing things and visit other team's board once in a while....just go visit the 'Nucks board....And for whoever is going to say, well they're on a 7th loss in a row......they are still 2 points from a 5th place in the conference.

Every freakin team's board is the same, great one day, really bad the other....

Offense:

-Kovalev-Lang-AKost: Terrible. Awfull. Disaster. They should never be together again.
-Higgins-Koivu-D'Agostini: Some good opportunities. Higgins and Koivu are not yet in top shape.
-Latendresse-Lapierre-Kostopoulos: Lots of movement. Lots of efforts. Way too much icetime for a line that has trouble finishing.
-Bégin-Plex-SKost: Good effort. Plex looks better separated from Kovalev.

Defense: Total mess

Major over payment, you could get Cole for Pleks alone and Cole isn't the same Cole he was that beat Montreal...Subban is an over payment, use him for a major player not a has been.

I'm not exactly touting the team's merits right now, but Edmonton would probably be ecstatic to get either of those players for Cole. He's not exactly lighting it up this year and he's a UFA at the end of the season.
