He really has. I thought he did a poor job defensively on Recchi's disallowed goal, but otherwise, he's been extremely good and made several important defensive plays.

JXC must be in ecstasy right now.

Damn Giroux looks good. He fumbled the puck at the line and rather than do something stupid that leads to an odd man rush the other way he calmly dumps the puck behind the net and heads to the middle of the ice. Then he checked the guy along the boards, took the puck from him and make a clean pass to Hartnell at the blueline for a clear shot at the net. Smart smart player. That's something that really only Powell has also been able to do from the guys we called up this year. All the others have repeatedly done stupid things that led to scoring chances against and they've done it a lot.

Can somebody tell me a great player and (but not necessarily) goalscorer who wore #18, besides Cannon?

2 points great job winning a game they looked like having no interest in winning in the 1st period.

Did Stevens actually do his job? lol.

Very weird game, but I'll take it. I'd give Nitty the first star, impact at both ends of the ice with his assist.

Good win. Not the prettiest early on, but a good one to win. Tampa has owned the Flyers more often than not.

We didn't play 60 minutes, maybe 45. We did pick it up though which is a good sign. Glad for the 2 points.

Hawerchuk, Ricci, Sharp, Langkow, and Lonsberry were all good players to wear # 18

And Center Ice cuts to "Jump" ,, just perfect. Someone mention Ducky and I flash back to the Wpg Jet days,
They always played "Jump" when the JEts would score
