Well apparently Sydor left midway in the 3rd after blocking that shot with this ankle and didn't come back...funny...I didn't miss him.

Quote:
Notes: Columbus coach Ken Hitchcock, who guided Dallas to a Stanley Cup in 1999, coached in his 951st game. ... A full 2½ hours before game time, 200 or so fans were lined up outside the arena to buy available tickets. ... Scouts from Atlanta, Montreal, Colorado, Anaheim, Florida, the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh and Minnesota were at the game. ... Dallas D Darryl Sydor, a former Blue Jacket, was hit on the ankle by a shot midway through the third period and limped to the dressing room. He did not return.
Hmm...wonder why they mentioned that?

Advance scouts are at every game. They probably just mention it when they get the particular team info. Means next to nothing.

I knew they were at every game...which is why I wonder why they decided to announce it for this game. Totally random.

It's way too early to be standings watching. You're going to stress yourself out.

Yup.

The Stars need to win their games. That is all.

yea, but it is a lot nicer to see us in 7th rather than 15th.

That could change in a couple games though.

Because the story on the DMN site is the AP article, which goes out to everyone in the country, and those stories often have scouts listed as filler in the first-run stories.

Heika's story usually gets up around 11 or 11:30.
