Cammalleri to Toronto

http://tsn.ca/columnists/scott_culle...s=secStory_nhl

The Calgary sun suggests that Mike will be a Toronto Maple Leaf by July 01...

Is there any real possibility?

How much would you sign him for?

Im sorry I seriously doubt this would happen. They will not trade picks for him and Burke will not lock up a long term 6 million plus contract when Kolvalchuck and Nash are up for grabs in 2010. And I am beginning to believe that the Flames will have him under contract just before July 1

Yeah, if Toronto's the only team who offers him 6 mil.

i hope we dont have to trade for him, rather sign him as a free agent, that being said if we have to trade for him i would do it for the right price.

I wont be surprised.

He's a Leafs fan and grew up in Richmond Hill, Toronto.

Signing him wouldnt be consider a bandage solution as he's a pretty good, young player. The kind of players Leafs should be targetting.

I love him as a player. He's such a sniper !

Maybe, but probably not, either way he will re-sign with Calgary. I just don't see him passing up on staying with Calgary after having such a great season.

He would be dumb to leave Calgary if they make a competitive offer, he will never sniff 40 goals again if he leaves Jarome Iginla

I hate these contract year signings. Plus Leafs could have had him for a lot less and a long time ago if they didn't trade that pick for like Aki Berg.

If "by July 1" includes the day of July 1, then yes, it's a possibility.

Who wrote the article? Dowbiggen or Francis? If either , who cares. No merit. Both are huge tools.

I hope he re-signs with the Flames. He has great chemistry with Iginla. We haven't had a player with this much chemistry with Iginla since the 2004 playoffs when he played with Conroy. Conroy has lost a step and can barely keep up with Iggy, but he can still play good with Iggy.

I would sign Cammy to $5.5m. I wouldn't mind that. With Aucoin's $4m and Warrener's $2.5m coming off the books, we will have some cap-room to re-sign him.

Dean Lombardi still has $1.8 on the table if Cammy's interested

Yeah, you guys have to resign this guy. 5.5 mil for a guy who can play with Iginla is fair value. That's Tanguay money.

Cammelarri asked for 6 million during arbitration two years ago, I don't think you see him taking less than that.

I hope he stays in Calgary, it's a good fit for him, and I'd rather spend the money on Bouwmeester, or Nash the next off-season.

That was a counter offer to a very low offer by Dean Lombardi of $1.8 million.

Personally, I can see Cammy signing somewhere between $5-$5.5 mil

Nash won't be up for grabs in 2010. Toronto fans can keep holding out hope all they want, but Nash isn't going to leave a young up and coming team that he is captain of, to join a team that is stuck in neutral right now. Nash will be signed long-term, book it.
