Ahh...a 'keeping it real' GDT...no complaints. Need something different as the Caps have been playing fairly 'meh' in January.

Fielding a healthy team for the first time in months. Something tells me Lloyd will not stand for it for very long....

For some reason I can't get excited about out of conference games. Hopefully I wake up in time.

I so dislike these early game starts and 2 days in a row, bah.

As was noted in the Detroit section of HFBs, Holmstrom and Zetterberg not expected to play.

I had a great time at the game in Detroit last season, until that disaster of a SO. A sweet faceoff win by Nylander that Ovechkin turned into a goal. Semin with a goal and a SO goal, and Jeff Schultz continuing his Dec. goalscoring.

Ok enough about last year...Go Caps!

Early games are great for us overseas fans: means I don't have to get up at oh-dark-thirty to listen. A double dip weekend? Heaven!

Should be a fun game, at least. Zednik with the hat trick again?

If there is a game for a turn around in Jan. this is it. Detroit is definitely a championship team and it will be great to knock them off. Also, we need the momentum playing the Devils this Tuesday.

LET'S GO CAPS!

Since this is the first home game in a couple weeks, I hope they don't come out and try to put on a show for the home fans. DON'T FREAKING BE CUTE! Dictate the play, score on power plays and don't take dumb and or lazy penalties.

now if only my wife will hurry up and get up to entertain the kids so i can go back to sleep. pre-game naps are important, you know.

Detroit should be hungry, having lost four straight coming in and plugging in a few youngsters in Leino & Abdelkader to give them a jolt.

Surprisingly enough, they've got the league's worst PK on the road.

I hate these day games.

The Caps need to come out early and get 1 or 2 quick. Get the crowd into the game.

Just ****ing win.

I, as a European, love day games since they start at 6.30pm central europe time.

and I happen to LOVE games against the Red Wings, especially when Fedorov is involved. Fed's first vs. Detroit in a Caps uniform!!!

Go Caps. Just win!

Tarik had the lines as....

Ovechkin-Fedorov-Semin
Fleischmann-Backstrom-Fehr
Laich-Nylander-Kozlov/Clark
Brashear-Gordon-Bradley/Steckel

Poti-Morrisonn
Erskine-Green
Schultz-Jurcina

But he doesn't know if he's going to use those lines. You'd have to think that Clark and Bradley would be the 2 scratches. I personally like those lines. It gives Fehr and chance with Backstrom and Flash. The 3rd line looks like it could be good too.

Edit- My lines were from yesterday. Looks like Strung has the new lines.

I hope our PK can play a little tighter today. Past 2 games it's been looking a little to loose an sloppy for my liking.
