Jason Arnott, Scott Hartnell or Ryan Malone to Mtl

What would the Preds, Flyers or Lightning realistically want in return?

I'd want more for Hartnell then MTL would probably be willing to give up...

probably Halak and a 1st

Considering that Hartnell is signed to a multi-year contract, something along those lines could certainly be worked out. Would the Flyers want to part with Niittymaki to make room for Halak?

Jason Arnott - Big presence, faceoff man, leadership, ideal player for Montréal.

Scott Hartnell - Big, skilled forward, tough, willing to pay the price. I'd like him. Like Asterix has said, depending on what you'd want for Niitty, I'd be willing to do a first and Halak.

Ryan Malone - Same as Hartnell, but I say a little less skilled, but not much. Has been good in Tampa from what I've seen. I'd be more willing to go for Hartnell first.

These are the types of forwards we need. How realistic any change of getting them is beyond me, but I'm kind of thinking it's more likely than Lecavalier.

For the Flyers?

Nothing. We have no interest in moving a 25-26 year old who has 19 goals and is a PERFECT Philly type-player.

Halak and a 1st? Tell MTL to go F themselves.

Keep Hartnell at all costs if you want to get through the playoffs.

Malone will not leave Tampa...He is too much of a Dad's boy to leave there. Unless his dad is also traded to MLT he will not be going. Dad leaves the pens to go to Pho and then he jumps to tampa and low and behold there goes ryan with his daddy. Dont get me wrong i like Ryan but i think he is attached to his father a little too much.

I can't see any team trading said players. The Preds need to add offense, not move one of their leading scorers. The Flyers aren't about to move a gritty top 6 forward. Maybe they'd move Lupul, that's more likely to happen in the off-season. As for Malone, he's one of the few bright spots in Tampa and I doubt they move him less than a year after signing him. They should try to keep that too a minimum.

Personally, I suggest you find some new players to covet.

No, Hartnell is Philadelphia.

For someone who claims to be a fan of Clarkey, you don't appreciate Hartnells style of play enough.

I'd rather keep Hartnell. I agree with the fact that it would probably be too expensive for other teams. He's simply worth too much to our team to trade. I mean, everyone has their price, fair enough, I honestly don't think he will get traded however. I'm proud to have him on the Flyers, especially since everyone went off when he was signed to that contract. If you look at all the power forwards who were signed to similar contracts (based off of his) he is on the forefront of production and impact.

That all being said, i'm surprised anyone would offer Halak and a 1st. Kudos to HFboards for not going off about his contract as usual and how he isn't worth it.

The Flyers' biggest need is a big, tough defenseman, so you would have to part with Mike Komisarek. I don't think you like that...

No, Halak isn't better than Biron and we don't need to upgrade the backup position. Another first round pick is nice, but another pick in the 20's doesn't helps us before 2012.

i think i'd do komi for hartnell. you're right about habs fans not liking it.

flyers are in the hunt, they're not trading roster players for futures.

These guys have it right, Hartnell is a Philadelphia player. He is everything that this city loves. Hard-working, physical, and with a scoring touch. No reason for the Flyers to trade him and I'm almost positive he has a NTC as well. He seems to enjoy Philadelphia and the guys on the team, I doubt he would want to leave even if the team agreed to trade him.

I wouldn't want that puke Hartnell on my team anyways. Sergei Kostitsyn takes enough slashing penalties as is.

I would not touch Malone contract with a 6 foot pole.

Your right, right now the Flyers have the best line in the NHL

Hartnell - Carter - Lupul

MTL would have to vastly overpay to get Hartnell. I'm thinking Halak + one of the Kostitsyn sisters + 1st.

and MTL would have to take back Niittymaki

Yeah. For whatever reason I cannot shake that hit he had on Alberts last year.
