They have some skill for sure...Brown, Kopitar, Doughty...but overall they are a poor team. Bad goaltending, well below average D and alot of plugs on those 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines.

This is a team that the Habs should roll over when they are on their game. The fact that the Habs could play a very poor game and still come out with the only 2 points is telling.

Read the rule and see where you are in error:

54.1 Holding – Any action by a player or goalkeeper that retards the progress of an opposing player whether or not he is in possession of the puck.

54.2 Minor Penalty - A minor penalty shall be imposed on a player or goalkeeper who holds an opponent by using his hands, arms or legs.

A player or goalkeeper is permitted to use his arm in a strength move, by blocking his opponent, provided he has body position and is not using his hands in a holding manner, when doing so.

Well we were on the PP and the puck went near the crease after the hit. Did you expect them to forget a scoring chance for retaliation ? Once the play stopped Gauthier was out of the game and we had a 5 min pp. No time to do anything.

Good to see there are reasonable fans..If the refs did that to your team I'm sure you would be just as livid..

How many last-minute or close to tying goals/shootout wins do the Habs even have this year? Four? Half a dozen? More?

Like last year, the playoffs will likely reveal the true Montreal team when last minute PPs and shootout wins don't happen.

Good luck.
No last minute power plays? Doesn't this ring a bell?

I love Kovy, but one thing I can't stand this season is the turnovers when trying to get the puck out...too much softness in his play.

Bruins tomorrow, our top players have to be dominant or else we lose.

Someone with the know how needs to post a YouTube of the Higgins goal on this thread. He out muscled Doughty, didn't grab on to him at all. Great play.

CBC says what I've been saying all year

Kovalev has no intensity this year, he makes dumb plays, does not clear the zone with consistency or put effort into doing it, look at what he was doing on the pp in our zone, not trying to get the puck back it's become beyond digusting his level of play

I want last year's Kovalev... he needs to get with the Program. Carbo also needs to stop giving him preferential treatment... it's pissing off some of the other players on the team

Kovalev owes Price alot of beer... as does Brisebois.. I cannot wait till these two are benched

Doughty was acting to '******' Higgins as well. They came together at the same time. Higgins' only intention was receiving the pass that was heading for him. If it's a penalty then it's 2 minutes for being stronger than Doughty.

Kings fans are pissed, LOL!

I'm surprised any of them even watched the game. Don't they have basketball to watch or whatever it is people in LA enjoy.

If not for Price and the last 2 minutes o the 3rd we lose and lose bad today.

This team didn't deserve to win and they know it and all owe Price a pat on the back and a pint at supper.

If we play the Bruins the same way we are gonna lose 8-0 tomorrow.

Exactly. Yeaaa, we won, but the defense needs to be addressed. Soon. This team lacks skill back there.

Of course, the floating on the part of some forwards needs to stop. Time to amp up the intensity on every shift. Tomorrow could be ugly if they play like did today.

Strength was definitely involved. I just think Higgins was not clear of Doughty at all until he pulled his shoulder back spinning him around.

It was impressive in a lot of ways, but I still think it was more hold than block.

Possession of the puck in this case was irrelevant. How he gained position was relevent

look at it this way. If Doughty made the same move to take Higgins out I think there would be some significant complaints

Anyway the ref let it go and we got a goal. Lots of missed calls work against us too so I will take the ones we get in our favour without a guilty conscience

Ohhh he is a ruins fan. Boston should never have a "history" debate against a habs fan, they'll just get embarrassed every single time!

Kovy was our worst forward tonight.
Really disappointing performance.

How many freaking turnovers can he cause in the defensive zone ?
We were used to his turnovers in the offensive zone but now he's doing it everywhere.
