I know alot here disagree, but I feel when playing a team like this, it's a must win game. You have to take advantage of the weaker teams when you face them because there are plenty of tough opponents out there. This is especialy true the closer you get to the stretch where more teams are elevating their game in an attempt to eek up the standings.

Find a way!

I'll never say a back to back game is must win against a rested opponent, unless it actually is a must win game (like season over if you lose).

I'll start watching this one, but I think I'll switch to the Bruins - Habs game later on.

The Capitals have proven so far that when it comes to playing the best teams in the NHL, they are very good. You can make a case that they are the best team in the east in that regard. I am impressed.

Games like today will have the biggest say in what their playoff seeding and what their potential trip to the ECF might be.

I think anyone predicting a blow out here has not paid attention to this team. They lose a lot on the second game of a back to back. They lose a lot to a weak team after they beat a really good team. They don't tend to lose at home. They probably will win because its home, but it will be a struggle.

4-3 Caps.

Yesterday only counts if they get two points today.

Thats not true. The Caps earned more than just two points yesterday.

I realize it's the second day of a back to back but part of me hopes we see Theo in net again today. With his stats only getting better I feel like now is the time to string together a bunch of starts for him and boost his confidence even more.

They've played down to their competition an awful lot this year, let's see f they can avoid that today.

I fear it may be a Sunday hangover type of game. Alcohol and the wings may have sapped our energy. I predict a low scoring snoozer.

I suspect Theo will play again based on Boudreau's comments after the game.

I wonder if Semin might not be scratched. Either that or put on a lower line. Boudreau said he might have to do something when it comes to Semin and either would be a wake-up call heading into the Devils game.

hasn't he started 7 straight?

Put Johnny in and play Theo on Tuesday. When you have 3 in 4 and the weakest game is the middle one, isn't that the perfect situation for the back up?

I really doubt he gets the hook - line demotions and reduced playing time is my guess.

Has it really been 7 straight? I guess since it was broken up over the allstar break I didn't realize. Put in that light I could see why one would want Johnny to start today. I suppose it couldn't hurt to have Theo a little rested for the NJ game either.
