There are rumors that the KHL will shop for him since he holds a Russian passport and would not count as one of the allowed 6 "foreigners" on the team.

Doesn't he have an Estonian passport? I thought his father was an Estonian soccer player who moved to Finland to play.
I don't know if Estonian's are considered foreigners in the KHL, tho.
His father is Russian from Estonia. I suspect Leo has three passports
Correct me if I am wrong, but I have understood that his father is full Russian who just played (ice hockey, not soccer) in Narva when Leo was born. So his only connection to Estonia is that he has born there.

if he got Finnish or Russian passport then he cant have Estonian because if Estonian sitizen will take passport of another country then he will lose Estonian citizenship automaticly.

his parents are russians who were living in Estonia before they leave to Finnland . Leo was about 15 years old back then.

Well, in principle, how do you check that? In his case, of course he is flashing his Finnish passport in your face in every tourney, so then if you are right, he should have no Estonian.
From what I've heard, he speaks extremely fluent Russian.
And I'd figure he also speaks Estonian.
And I am pretty confident that he speaks English as well. A guy like this could be great to have on an NHL team. These are intangible skills that can make a player very valuable.
I really hope he turns out good in the WC... I have my doubts on him.
He will surely play the 4th line and will probably be killing penalties. He is trashtalker, so with J.Ruutu Finland will have the 2 most hated players in this tournament
I havent watched him alot, but i think his offensive skills are limited and for example in NHL he would probably be career 4th liner. With good icetime he can be 0.5ppg player in a league like the finnish and swiss elite leagues. But i dont really expect him to score goals, if he plays outstanding penalty kill, plays with alot energy and sends opponents to the penalty box, i think he could be valuable player to finland in the future.

LOL, he can tell everyone to **** off in their native languages..
I see him as a Sean Avery type, but with less skill and slightly better manners.

Did he ever sign a contract with a KHL team? I see rumours about this on the Maple Leafs threads but haven't seen any specific articles.
