You don't know very much about Russians, do you?

Russian players are more about personal skill. They stress that more than anything, which is why so many Russians are more razzle dazzle type players.

An Anisimov-Zherdev line should "razzle dazzle" although im not too familiar with Anisimov's playing style just yet.

Im thinking maybe Zherdev would be the one giving him the goals.

If Anisimov can gain another 10 lbs. of muscle he could be pretty damn good. A lower grade Malkin.

Zherdev might compliment AA the way PA did.

Not an appreciable amount. He might have played a couple of games with Korpikoski, but for the most part he was Hartford's second-third line center last year while the three mentioned spent most of their time in Hartford on the top line.

read that Kalinin got hurt?.........is he out with Reitz in for a bit. Blessing in disguise if so?

I really like this move with Ani...he should go with Korpikoski and even Dawes. Kid line

of course I won't complain to see him with Zherdev off the bat

i don't really care if he gets on the scoresheet, if he plays. Just as long as he plays a good game.

Very good news. I hope he'll play. I'm wondering for a long time now how Duby would play on the wing, that might be the opportunity to give it a go. Here's what I would like to see tomorrow, Tom if you read me... I don't know if there's a Russian factor that would permit to Z. and AA to click in the second, but I would definitely try it if I was Renney.

Callahan-Gomez-Naslund
Korpikoski/Dawes-Drury-Prucha
Dubinsky-Anisimov-Zherdev
Sjostrom-Betts-Orr

Looks about right to me.

6'1 205, 6'4 205, 6'2 203, little bigger than the other smurf lines too.

Don't be surprised if he just gets a taste of the big club, and practices with the team until Tuesday before being sent back to Hartford for Wednesday's game.

Look at our offense, it's worth to give him a chance.

I hope not, that'd be quite silly, no injury precautions... at least not that we know about.

Renney and Co. have done this in the past.

I'd love for Ani to get into the lineup, but it isn't a sure thing.

We will have to see. I'm very excited about him being in and what it might do for the team.

Callahan-Gomez-Naslund
Anisimov-Dubinsky-Zherdev
Korpikoski-Drury-Dawes/Prucha
Sjostrom-Betts-Voros

If Anisimov is being brought up to provide an offensive spark, I say ease him into the lineup as a winger so that he can forego a little defensive responsibility. And for god's sake, I know it's never going to happen but Orr needs to be dressed on an as needed basis. That 4th line is so much better with Voros on it.

I think Dawes is going to get sat to make room for Artem.

Compared to Voros, Orr looks like Bonnie Blair.

I'd go with:

Naslund Gomez Prucha
Drury AA Zherdev
Korp Dubi Cally

Two offensive lines and a third line that can be the checking line as well as provide some offense. I think Drury needs to play the wing. And this teams needs to get faster with Prucha in the lineup instead of Dawes.
