Third Jersey

I know this is prob a stupid thread but I wanted to say I dislike the third jerseys that the stars have
I liked the old all black home jerseys like this one

how sick would that be if we had that as our third jersey now

The third jersey was very uninspired. For sure. I like thirds that go in a complete different direction than the regular jersey's like the Penguins powder-blues.

I like the 3rd, just not as a 3rd. Make the 3rd into the away jersey, ditch the current away jersey, and make a new 3rd.

I would like to see something like what Minnesota & St. Louis do with their 3rd jersey.

I don't know. I'm not for renaming the Stars to the Blues or the Wild. I actually think the latter is one of the worst team names in all of sports.

not having a plural name is just weird most of the time.

I just threw this sketch together so forgive the general crapiness, but this is what I'd like to see in a 3rd. The current 3rds are pretty obviously going to become the normal away shirts.

- uses the North Stars' shade of green as the base color
- consistent arm striping pattern with home and away, but with white in between and on the shoulders
- uses Dallas' traditional dark green in the striping, number/letters and at the bottom hem line
- horizontal gold stripe below the white shoulder is a nod to an old Minnesota design
- keeps the main logo as the crest and the Texas patches (which would be phased out if the current 3rds and black homes take over)

As long as we don't have red in our jersey...and they aren't like this...

I don't care what our 3rd jersey looks like.

Though, I would like more green.

+1

However i actually like those jerseys but having to look at them for more than game or two would given the opposing team motion sickness....hmmmmmmmmm

Well the "N" with the arrow pointing up is pointing "North" and pointing to the star = North Star ...How would you fit Dallas into that equation?

But the Stanford Cardinal has to be one of the best. Though generally I agree with you.

I don't. We'd get the weirdest jersey in the NHL. Well, outside Montreal's flashback to 100 years ago when jerseys were made with more dull colors and without the invent of television.

those are amazing.

as for piqued's design not bad but I don't like the North Stars green. Make it our green.

as for making the N* logo into a D* that would look awful.
I however am not a fan of bringing back the North Stars part of this franchise.

That is my take on it.

Two posts by you and not one sarcasm smiley.

You honestly like those throwbacks?

I think they're ugly as hell!

yea, I don't see what is so bad with them. The only thing I don't like is the back and the way the numbers are put on. I think it would be terrible to have as a normal jersey but to wear them like 3-4 times a season I would like them. They are just so different from everything else now.

Well the jersey being a throwback to the early 1900's kind of fits since Price is wear Teddy Groulx (was the first Montreal Canadiens goalie on record) equpitment.

I'm a fan of the brown pads, probably for the same reason I'm a fan of Turco's gold pads.
