Picard is so God-awful. I can't believe he busted like he did.

This is Ottawa's chance to turn it around! Are you facing Alexandre Picard or Alexandre Picard?!!? Seriously, give us something to cheer about and 2 Picards are better than 1... I hope.

Both were waived this year

Picard went unclaimed
McIver was claimed by the Ducks from the Canucks

I could see the Sabres picking up McIver seeing as how we needs bodies on defense.

Unfortunately for them, I wouldn't be surprised if neither is claimed.

Yeah, I could see us claiming McIver. We're decimated on the blueline... It couldn't hurt...

This is Norm McIver's son right? Can't argue with that pedigree.

CBJ are trying to send him to the minors again. I'll be surprised if he's picked up. He passed through earlier this year.

Canucks weren't happy that he got claimed, they might try to pick him up as the depth on defense isn't that great. I never want to see Nycholat play again, not that McIver is much better, but beyond Davison we don't have much depth.

Considering that was Norm MacIver and this is Nathan McIver, I doubt it.

I would really, really love to see Picard given 1 more NHL shot with another organization. Maybe a team like atlanta or NY Islanders, who have nothing to lose, could pick him up.

Atlanta turned Peverly into something already, who knows.?.? maybe a little more luck would push atlanta's way?

Odd news about Nathan...I thought that he was the perfect 7th defensemen for the Ducks. Didn't look out of place when he played and was a physical presence whenever he was in the lineup.

The Moose need Nycholat alot more than they need McIver. And the Canucks need a Nycholat type who can actually play than they need a McIver. I don't see Gillis making a claim for him (since SOB is a better version of McIver).

Thats what I was thinking, was he picked up out of organizational need by the Ducks, or did Burke see something in him as a valuable asset?

We're not going to pay the monumental bust that is Alex Picard.
