Stars really need to avoid penalties. This is the kind of game if they can keep it at even strength or on the PP it'll tilt toward their favor eventually.

You know how Calgary kept the old Atlanta Flames logo and put it on their alternate captain's jersey? Well the Stars could bring back the North Stars' N and put it on Modano's chest. It would stand for "Not Captain".

edit: this post would be better if Modano had done something wrong

Calgary is definitely one of the better defense teams we've seen this season...at least in this game they are.

Oh, so you mean that the Stars' PP is drastically improved with Richards on the point instead of Modano? Really.

Richards actually looks comfortable skating backwards and defending the shorthanded rush as well.

Since when did this power play become any good at all?

Again, the Flames passive PK just lets guys skate around them, and Neal with some nice soft hands to tip it to himself, then put it in.
