Happened to me numerous times with my vaporXVI, wouldn't say trash but it won't be what it was, I remember every slapshot would be along the ice or just off the ice, passing and wrist shots were just fine.

It's pretty much trash. You can cut the blade off and stick a new one in there though, should take a standard.

Warranty is probably 30 days.

Did you tape along the bottom at all? because splitting of the blade like that tends to be from people just not paying attention to their stick.

I've never had this happen on a stick unless I used it outdoors. And there is virtually no reason to use a stick like a One75 outdoors; the money you'll spend replacing it far outweighs the $19 you'd spend on a Sherwood Paul Coffey that you could get just about anywhere. 99% positive that a stick with that kind of damage is considered "misused" by the company and voids the warrantee but all Bauer composites are 30 days anyways.

you know what i didnt tape along the bottom at my last stick time session ...does this happen to the people who tape only the mid to toe as well ...well i guess its a lesson learned. oh and i have never used it outdoors but do remember smacking the boards quite well with it due to bad no goal call

my one90 split along the bottom. All my shots are fine still. And yes I take care of it.

I imagine most splits create sharp edges which become a safety hazzard for other players. Unless you can cut the blade off and use the shaft like cptjeff suggested it sounds like it's useless.

Worth mentioning -- if you like to experiment see if you can doctor it up and use it for practicing. Stan Mikita tried using a stick with a broken (bent) blade in practice and liked the effect. It led him to curve his stick blades (soaked wood in water to make it more pliable) and he revolutionized the game. Adam Oates used a shorter stick blade because he felt his passes were more accurate. Might be worth trying a few ideas of your own.
