I said Ovechkin and Green.

Although it was close and I fully expect Phaneuf and Crosby to be better next year.

Ovechkin and Green easily

Phaneuf is seriously overrated. I'm sorry but I want my defencemen to play d. Not that Green is amazing in that category either mind you.

Green is better than him offensively anyways, giving Dion absolutely nothing

I like JBO better than Phaneuf and Green though btw

How the hell is this easily for the Caps duo? oh right, aslong as it's Ovechkin it's easily him. I still remember alot of votes for Ovechkin and Semin in the thread with Malkin, and Crosby in there.

But when Phaneuf doesn't drill it into the logo, his shot is one of the best there is.
Part of having a great shot, is having an accurate shot, and knowing when to use it. Jurcina has the best slapshot on the caps.. as long as it's not shot at the goalies chest or 5 feet wide.

Well it's easy when Crosby vs Ovy is close, down to personal preference and Green vs Phaneuf isn't close at all.

Ovechkin is a tad better than Crosby and neither Green or Phaneuf excells in the own end but Green is better offensivley so I went with the Caps duo

Spot on. "What have you done for me lately?" I don't subscribe to that, and am happy with a very young defenseman taking on a lot of minutes to work on his game. Same true for every defenseman in the NHL, tough job and it takes years to get to be where you want to be.......
