Nashville Vancouver

Mason Raymond for Kevin Klein and a 5th.

Why: Canucks gets a young defenseman for next year Nashvile gets a speedy top 6 guy.

What kind of potential does Klein have??

Any chance Klein and a 5th could be switched for Cody Franson??

Vancouver does need a young puck moving defencemen with top 4 potential.

Cody Franson is one of the org's top prospects. I think he could be available, but it would take more than a struggling forward who is the Canucks trade bait du jour.

In fact, I don't think I'd trade Klein alone for Raymond. Klein is having a breakout season, and while I could see him being traded, I would imagine that it would be as a part of a package for a more established scorer.

While I'd be hesitant to trade Klein with DeVries and Koistinen as UFA's this summer, I'd love to acquire Mason Raymond and think he could really flourish in Nashville with the right linemates.

A good trade proposal makes both teams nervous...I can see discussing this further, although I'd really hate to lose Klein because he finally seems to be "getting it".

Not with the way Klein has played over the last 20 games.

Thought klein was kind of expandable in Nashville with guys like Suter and Weber signed and guys like Fransson and Blum coming in. But i dont follow Nashville but really thought they needed offensive players.

I'd rather trade Koistinen and a 3rd or 4th for Raymond, but I'd do this deal.

Why do people keep selling Raymond as a top 6 guy? He isn't one. It's like the Pens selling Satan as a highly motivated sniper.

Raymond isn't yet (23 years old) and Satan once was (34 years old).
