Sauer
Yandle
Bryzgalov

Dude your team has a lot more going for it than mine. (Edmonton) If I were you I'd just wait. Still a while till the trade deadline. Your team has a fair bit of hockey to play till then.

OK - I am not talking blowing up the team just an impact trade to right the ship.

What would it take from the Canucks to land Mueller?

We have never rebuilt. But nice try.

In fact last year was the first time in franchise history we missed the playoffs for 3 consecutive years.

lol, I love that these types of things always happen after the Preds beat someone. Coaches get fired, teammates get into fights during practice, fanbases want to sell the team, etc. Are the Preds that bad that teams are always expected to beat us?

I'd guess it would have to build around Bieksa or Edler

Dude, don't flatter yourself.

The goal we scored against you tonight was our first in 187min!!!

This problem has been in the works for a while...

They should try Jokinen in every spot on the PP until he clicks.

LMAO. Doan is not an untouchable if you are sellers. He's the guy that could bring back the biggest return.

From a Habs perspective, I'd be interested in Jokinen and Morris.

I'd love to see Hanzal on the Sharks, just because he's a Joe Thornton killer.

A package of Michalek/Mueller/ Doan could get a pretty significant return... Hecht, Pominville, Paille, Paetcsh, prospect Tim Kennedy, prospect TJ Brennan+ 3rd in '09 and 1st in 2010? ?

Injuries. We lost mueller/reinprecht who are the only consistent players players helping out jokinen and doan. The we lost sauer on our back end and now morris, so our defensive pairing are all screwed up.

I love when people go "OMG FIRE SALE!" and then mark half their team as untouchable.

You have to give to get. I personally like the Coyotes a lot, even though they give the Sharks a hard time, and think they are close to really bringing it all together.

It would help them a lot to have a superstar in order to sell tickets and pay their rent. Wouldn't necessarily make them a better team, but Thornton has done miracles for SJ hockey. I think the Coyotes hoped Gretzky could do that, but Gretzky on the bench is not Gretzky on the ice. Doan is a great player, but he just isn't going to convert basketball/baseball/football fans over to hockey for Phoenix.

My thread title was not great. I should have said time to shake things up! The team needs to make a trade (IMO) to get back into the playoff picture.

Hockeyball - I agree. The team needs to get a "superstar". With the continued problem scoring and the woeful powerplay the Coyotes need a true scorer.

Turris may be that in a couple years.

I do think the team should inquire about the Kovalchuks, Spezzas, Healtleys etc to make an immediate impact on the team. They need to make the playoffs this year.

This is not a "fire sale".

I am suggesting an impact trade ala Mueller, Lisin, Nick Ross, and a 2009 1st for Kovalchuk type deal.
