Just reported by CSN. He came to practice and left early because of the flu...

Yes, they said in the pregame that Coburn, Richie and Upshall are out with the flu.
They sold the Phantoms to a group from Pittsburgh.

What? I hope they're all better on Saturday. I want to see these 2 teams mostly healthy against each other (Briere and Sturm being the long-term injuries, of course).

There is an article from an Allentown newspaper in the Phantoms' sticky if anyone wants to read.

One of the goalies was very ill in preseason, Gaston or Niitty?
Remember the road game at Washington a few weeks ago. That didn't lack turmoil either and the team managed to pick up a point. It is a difficult task tonight but it can be accomplished.

I think it was Biron, but I'm not positive.

wow look at this:
"They had at least nine players sick against the Blues, including Mike Richards and Jeff Carter, who played through it."

Niitty had hip surgery. He also had the Flu early in the season when we played the first game against Colorado. Marty caught the Flu in December.

This Flu epidemic is just awful. Shouldn't the medical team have administered flu shots?

I wonder if it's Norovirus that's going around. I had that in December and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I was sick for 3 days and weak for 2 weeks afterward.

HOW ****ING HARD IS IT TO GIVE ALL OF YOUR PLAYERS A FLU SHOT?!
this **** happens every single year, you'd think it'd be common sense by now...

Let's hope for a clean game. Last thing we need is more injuries.
