Yay, the Pens beat a bottom 3 team @ home.

Enjoy Therrien.

This makes no sense to me. Why would rather the Caps win a single series against a particular team than win the Cup? I think you left off the sarcasm emoticon.

Probably the only negative you can associate to Malkin's performance tonight.

Malkin is a treat to watch though, but unless his teammates help him out more, there are going to be a lot more losses than wins for the Pens the rest of the way. Literally no one else came to play for the Pens except for Malkin and Fleury.
All I know is that the call on Malkin's GW'er was one of the worst I've ever heard in my life.... totally separated from reality. IMO it stunk out Malkin's performance. He played well but the two key breaks were the ref killing the puck in the corner and Cooke drawing a penalty.

Well, a win is a win, and they needed to win so its nothing to frown on. It was actually the type of win that can get momentum started, so maybe the opponent will prove inconsequential.

Not going to get many arguments on that point.

Shocking...

And yes, we realize that Therrien is probably performing sexual favors for Malkin as we speak for saving his job.

Will you let us eat our cake without ******** all over it, please?

Our team has had a miserable season, and about all we have going for us is a Super Bowl.

From who, Tampa's Mishkin? I could imagine he'd be pretty devastated.

That's all?

Only a Super Bowl, and a Stanley Cup appearance, and two Hart Finalists?

Try being an Islander or Panther fan.

You know what, that Cup run feels like it was six years ago right about now.

And on a personal level, I just had a family member charged with a pretty serious crime today, so things weren't and still aren't going too well for me at the moment. (believe me or don't)

Embarrassing. I wanted the Pens to lose. Good for Malkin though.

If Malkin takes the Hart, this will be the game that did it for him. Great individual performance.

Usually 3 points wouldn't really seem like a big deal especially considering the goaltender, but Malkin deserves some props for that game. He took the game over and got the 2 points, which is all that counts in the end. Then Pens only had 2 shots through the first 12 minutes of the 3rd and were still down by 2....it looked like a season ender for awhile.

My aunt is a caterer, so we could test that theory.

Let's remember that it's the Lightning that they were playing against.

You know what, I wish I could witness an Islander Cup run (and Im 21)....hell, even a second round playoff game....hell, even a successful "rebuild," or whatever we are going through now.

The Penguins just made it to the Cup finals, this slump will not kill the team's chances forever.

What the Penguins are going through I would love to be a fan going through...at least you have a Stanley Cup contending team.

We really don't have a Cup contending team this year.

But I am pulling for the Isles to rise to at least relativity again. I want Tavares there.

naturally, because being in the penalty box would have obviously helped his team more than him scoring

Penguins can definitely Cup contend if they pull it together. There have been games this season of Penguin dominance by everyone on the ice...and there have been games of **** play. When the Penguins really WANT to win, they can win.

The way the Islanders are playing, Tavares might not be an option anymore...at least there are some bright spots during our terrible season.
