Powerplay

How would you fix the Stars powerplay?

The Stars need to go back to shooting from the point, have two players around the net and getting the rebounds.

Gotta get the puck in the zone first before you think about point shots.

Stars gotta start from scratch on this one, I haven't the slightest idea what the problem is.

How about replacing Sydor with someone who is good?

Trevor Daley has more than proved he deserves time on the PP.

To be fair, that answer sucked just as much.

I think Boucher has picked up 1 assist with Pittsburgh. Both teams traded crap for crap. I guess at least Boucher could in theory improve.

EDIT: 0 points actually, but only 3 games.

Piq with the logics.

Meaning it won't happen.

Yes the picture looks horrible. RS = right shot, LS= Left shot then W i put instead of RW with all the lack of right shots.
It can also be set up in reverse, but the basic strategy is the Center passes the puck to the defenseman[possible one timer] and when they get a clear shooting lane[keep moving] then shoot it on net. All the players keep moving the entire time even if it is just a inch. The center then goes down and attempts to get the rebound if it goes to the corner if the goalie doesn't put the rebound out in front of the net to one of the forwards.

Yep, Modano has scored countless PP goals by cleaning up rebounds that come out to the side of the goalie from that "C" position on your chart.

Down to #29 in the NHL. C'mon Tippett, wake up and do your job.

Boucher has started scoring in Pittsburgh, btw. He had a goal from the point the other day after missing all that time with his undisclosed injury. Perhaps its finally healed?

Mo' is the only one at the point other than Daley that will actually shoot the puck. Robidas likes to play catch with Ribeiro most of the time.

I officially suggest that we rename this thread from Powerplay to Phebleplay!

14 shots in the last 15 games (according to Strangis) would suggest otherwise.

EDIT: That only takes into account the shots that made it to the net. How many shots did he attempt? Still, only getting 1 shot on goal a game with all that PP time is not good.

Shocking the powerplay is improving now that Robidas is off the first unit and Modano barely plays on the powerplay.
Also helps they're using a simple strategy and getting shots from the point.
