Not a good team. Caps need to start beating these lesser teams. I'm expecting some hella severe payback from #8. Don't think he appreciated the treatement last game.

They played in Anaheim the night before, a win, and lost Mike Green to go with Semin and Fedorov already hurt. 5 of their 15 L's have come in the 2nd of back to backs on the road. One of their 3 OTL's as well.
The Caps are not unusual in that regard. The rested home team has an advantage.
due to the miracle that is Center Ice, i have watched about a dozen Kings games this season. i would not take this team lightly, and i doubt our boys will after losing to them once already this season.
the Kings play a sound brand of hockey and have alot of young talent. i honestly don't expect a runaway game for the Caps, although i DO expect our boys to win tonite... but only by a small margin
the Kings remind me alot of the Caps honestly, at an earlier stage of their rebuilding process.
You're aware none of the posters on this board actually play for the Caps, right? And therefore, the game will not hinge on how "lightly" these posters take the Los Angles Kings?
So the Caps are back to having no healthy scratches. Fehr needs to continue his play from the last few games...here's to no stupid penalties by Caps players and a solid PK featuring Gordon and Steckel. The LAK is one of 2 teams Ovechkin has not scored a goal against; the other being the SJS.
I am looking forward to this game...Kopitar, O'Sullivan, Brown, Frolov, Simmonds and others up front and Quincey, Doughty and company on the blueline plus they are getting better goaltending than the Kings have gotten in a long time. It's been 2 years since LA played at Washington.
As Tarik updates, Johnson is getting opinions from specialists, getting the information he needs to make an informed decision on rest vs surgery. My guess is Neuvirth could get a start, if they give him a start, in the back to backs in Florida if he is still with the team 10/11 days from now: 2/14 at TBL 2/15 at FLA. Hopefully, that isn't too much down time for him before getting in a game if that is the case.
We have a guy post with a black face on his avatar and someone responds with "Lynch him"???? Thats ok with you?
I agree that post was in horrible taste and inappropriate.
However, I really wish we would let other teams fans come and have reasonable discussions in our game day threads. More and different opinions and views are better to have than to not. Just because someone is a kings fan doesn't make them a troll, or an idiot, or a genius.
Ban them from the thread when they actually turn to trolling. Let them, and welcome them, when they come to share their opinions.
Basically, lighten the **** up!
(this post was not directed at you txpd...just general commentary)
IMO there's no such thing as a sure win in the NHL. So many games are played that every good team is bound to have a bad night, when at the same time the lesser team they play has a great night.
