Most fit NHL players

I start with the obvious ones.

Rod Brind'Amour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4YoDHTtGKc

47-year-old Chris Chelios: http://info.detnews.com/pix/sports/2...sworkout05.JPG

I'm good friends with the cousin of Matt Bradley (WSH), and he regularly set fitness records with San Jose during his first few seasons with them. Being that he's a 3rd/4th line player who's stick is permanently set on "auto-dump", he knows his ticket to 6 or 7 figure paychecks was through being in the best shape he could possibly be in.

Duncan Keith has crazy endurance.

There is an olympic measurement of endurance that gives you a score basically measuring how long you can sustain a high level of physical exertion. Anyways I seem to remember hearing that Duncan Keith was off the scale for NHL players in this metric. Having watched him play 30 minutes on several occasions, I have to say he's the most fit player I've ever seen.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were both on the juice.

Chara. His workout routines are nuts. On his off days he puts in close to 7 hours, and four different types of workouts. After games he sometimes works out for 1-2 hours. In the offseason he cycles parts of the tour de france route, and climbs mountains. I remember they were talking to him on the radio and he said he would cycle something like 90 miles a day. He says he is obsessed with training.

I wish I had the time like professional athletes (and actors) to workout. Yeah...that would be awesome.

Ivanans was the first one to come to mind. You said fit, not skilled.

Need to define "Fit" for this thread to go in any kind of real direction.

If we're talking endurance, as noted above, I think Keith wins.

didn't his crazy ass climb mount kilamanjaro or somethin'? respect man!

for me though the most phsycially impressive/commited nhl players are sidney crosby, and sam gagner. Amongst the younger guys they're the two that have been known for starting and commiting to a very impressive workout regimen from a very early age (13 and 14)

Iginla is a workhorse in training and conditioning. He never takes a break from his fitness/nutrition routine.
