So Mike Milbury says that Tim Connolly was a part of the North Vietnamese resistance during the Vietnam war? This further establishes his credentials as a McCarthyist windbag with a big mouth and a small brain.
BTW, and I'm sure some Islanders insiders know this as well, but not all of Milbury's dumb moves as a GM were his doing. Some of them were ordered from above him and he ended up taking the heat for, like the Dipietro signing.
Regardless of Connolly's merit... what a lapse of professionalism there by Milbury. "Self-centered dink?" If I'm Tim Connolly, I think Milbury having a moment like that is more humorous than offensive.
also, these stories are for another thread, but ask me sometime why everyone who works for the islanders was glad to see blake sign in toronto
Okay, I'll bite. I'd love to hear this, and I'm sure there's an existing thread somewhere where this conversation can be carried over. Why was everyone who works for the Islanders glad to see Blake sign in Toronto?
remember TC missed only like 4 games while an Isle. He wasnt "fragile" until after the trade. His value diminished via injury, but so did Peca's. IF healthy, (big if), TC is a very good player (even if a dink). I think this remains a deal both sides can be alright with. Peca, while good, forced the Sabares to get rid of him, due to ridiculous contract demands to a cash strapped team with corrupt owners.
Regardless, no need for Milbury to bash him so many years later. IMO. But,....who cares!!!
Due to several posters comments being libelous towards a person involved in the original poster's story, I am going to have to shut this thread down, as HF Boards could get into trouble for allowing these comments to continue.
