Blackhawks Sweep Flames in Season Series

Talk about a deep team. If I were to tell you that Toews, Kane, Versteeg, Sharp, Buff, Keith, Seabrook, Campbell and Barker would have zero points, you would say the Hawks have no chance in hell of winning. Well they just spanked the Flames in Calgary 5-2.

Almost makes up for those years of no home games on TV and a half empty United Center.

I never knew, totally went over my head

The media and Bettman should really pick up on this

No but to be honest, I'm happy for the Hawks. It was a long long long time coming.

I am hoping that the Kings are on the same track.

did this really need a thread? i don't remember a "Flames sweep Predators" thread when they won the 4th game last week, Calgary just sucks against Khabibulin

My only reason for posting is that it seems pretty rare to have 0 points from your top 2 lines and 0 points from your Top 4 defensemen and still beat a quality team like Calgary decisively, pot 5 goals(1 EN) and in their building.

Maybe it happens more than I'm aware and it's not an indication of Chicago's depth.

What's wrong with Patty Kane? He's in a huge slump right now....hasn't scored in forever. I know he's playing injured but is it really that bad?

Kaner had a pretty good game today. Had a couple good scoring opportunities and set up Buff about 5 times over all just a little snake bit i think.

High ankle sprain from a Dan Cleary hit the game before the Winter Classic.

He has struggled and I am sure it's not 100% yet. Most teams have figured out how to play him this year. Give him one really solid check and he starts to hear footsteps and gets pretty timid. I hope that this is just a phase and he will learn to fight through adversity.

Wow Rayne, that's it really? Where's the hate? You've been lacking in 'Phaneuf sucks, Kipper is a bottom 60 goalie, Flames are a bottom feeder' posts, i'm starting to get disappointed.

On topic Flames are on their first slump in a while, and can't ever beat Khabibulin, yay!

Great. Someone needs to show that the Flames aren't really that great.
