Quit blaming Price, this team is awful in front of him right now...especially Kovalev who isn't skating, is losing pucks left and right and is taking bad penalties all the time.

I'm Carbo I bench Kovy.
Well,of course the team as a whole needs to step it up. I guess we all expect a little more out of our allstar goaltender is all.

I hope the Kost Bros don't start listening to him in the locker room and start only trying when they feel like it too. Kovy is a cancer that is slowly killing this team

Please, you gotta be ****ing joking me!. The guy does more harm than good. You don't need a replacement. Just get rid of him and the team will be better..LOL

Lapierre also should've taken the last face-off.

Man I love the consistent play the Habs have shown this year, we are serious contenders. Kovy just continues to set a great example for how the game should be played. He shows so much emotion and heart out there. Great role model for D'Agostini and Patches.

And, holy man, BG must lock Bouillon up to a long term deal immediately. He is the shutdown D everyteam needs. In fact our defense is magnificent, no turnovers and crisp passing. Gainey would be crazy to mess with this team's chemistry.

If you can see the issue with this team is scoring, wake up. We don't generate good offensive chances and expect Price to steal every game.
3rd goal was a bad bounce. no way that puck shpuld have bounced to the front of the net.

2nd goal CP was down before the shot, which was a knuckler/changeup.

So we DIDN'T generate quality scoring chances? Who was Miller stopping all those saves? Was his own team shooting on him?

Where does he do all this harm?

Yeah he's not having a great year, but that's a HUGE exageration.

Good 1st period.
Defensive and goaltending snafus.
Kovalev taking penalties like they're going out of style.
Newsflash: the ATAK line still sucks.
Decent effort by the other 3 lines.
BGL looks a bit faster.

Next Year

I'm already thinking about next year and starting to wonder if Gainey is the right man for the job. He's done wonders with the talent level on this club, but we can seriously gut this team next year and sign UFAs. Problem is I don't know if Gainey is the guy who can "sell" a UFA on Montreal.

This team is not beating anyone in the playoffs. Not only do we not have the team toughness, mental toughness, we have no cohesion. (I blame Carbo for that)

If they gut the team, I won't mind. If I'm Saku, I'd find a team that actually has a chance to win. You've give us 10 great years of service and I would love to see you win a cup. I wish it was in Montreal, but that's not going to happen.

Ahaha...agreed. Price hasn't shown us one bit of brilliance that most have WISHED he had. He has a long way to go before he can be called great. The man crush on this guy right now is unbelievable.

If any one thinks this team is ready, you have be delusional.

They weren't poor but after the first they basically went thru the motions.

The inability to play 60 minutes is the story of the year. Will Silent Bob do anything? Probably not. This team has some good youngsters unfortunately this organization has no clue how develop a star. Buffalo does it, so do the Devils. All their guys buy into the systems, team play, etc etc. Yet year after year Montreal is unable to do this. The lack of star power has hindered this team for 15 years now. When do you make some bold and drastic moves.

It's amazing how bulletproof the kid is. I think he's going to be a huge part of this team in the future and obviously he's still young and has room to grow but at the same time we also need to be straight up and say he's been on the wrong side of mediocre since coming back from injury.

That's not bashing for no reason, it's just the way it is...unfortunately some fans don't want to admit it. Has he been the sole reason for our troubles? Of course not, but to say his play has been acceptable is fanboyism at its best.

Overall not a bad effort by the boys tonight. Kovalev showed us another chapter in his disappearing act but the rest of the forwards were pretty solid I thought. Defensively there were a lot of breakdowns. A lot of turnovers even from our more solid guys like Markov and Komisarek. Great 1st period, poor 2nd period and decent 3rd period.

0 points, a -1, and two penalties, one that effectively killed any hope of a comeback, really hope that's not your idea of excellent.

For real. Mats Naslund might just be the last start forward we produced. And by that I mean like a 100 pts, impact forward guy. How pathetic, that was over 20 years ago.

Kinda resembles that of the team though wouldn't you say. This team average. I think its reality check time and the 100 year anniversary is likely prevented any needed shakeup as Silent Bob needs to make the playoffs.
