Brian Savage

The Coyotes have put him on Waivers, would you take a flyer on him and then trade for a Rucinsky or Young and plop them on Weight's line and then have money left over to deal for another D-man or a goalie like Manny Fernandez.

Thoughts

Pleau should be all over Savage and out looking for a bargain trade on a forward.

When will it be known who picks up Savage? I can't imagine he passes through waivers.

I'd like to see savage here.

He makes 3.2 Million/yr. I wonder how many years are left on that. Because at this point in the season that would mostly be paid. And savage always plays good against us.

There are 2 years and 7 million left on his contract. That might be enough to make Pleau pass. I honestly don't know if he'd be effective here. He is incredibly streaky and while a move might kick him into a frenzy it might kill his recent offensive surge.

Barring any late deals yet to be reported (and I'm not talking about Varlamov going elsewhere), Pleau did zip. This team is screwed.

Should I refresh the first Weinrich thread? I think I shall. I'm feeling a bit loud and obnoxious right now; so, I'll go find it. No need for anyone to thank me.

Pleau did not address our porous blueline issues any further than Weinrich; hell even those that wanted a scoring winger must be disappointed in Savage being the only guy we added. The Blues are one of the big losers today.

This thread has been dead quiet for hours! You guys must be not at all pleased...can't say I blame you!

Any word in St. Loo on how much the Coyotes paid on Savage's contract? Ooo! Barnett is on the local sports station! Maybe he'll say.

This server wouldn't let me on from yesterday morning until this morning. I even tried to get on after making it home from the game last night and still couldn't.
