The sad part is that we've probably needed to take a "basketball timeout" at least ten times this season.

I could not have been more wrong. Toronto and Ottawa each picked up two points tonight. Tampa Bay is playing the Islanders, so at least one of those teams gets points. If the Avs score holds, St. Louis gets two points.

Maybe if I predict some more wins I can jinx us to the top pick.

Admitting the Avs turned the puck over during that three goal Blues flurry.

Lightning just won.

It's looking very likely that 4 teams behind us in the standings will gain two points on us tonight.

So, do you think Tony G will eventually get fired?

Speaking of teams ahead of the Avs in the standings...Vancouver has a 2-0 lead over Chicago.

It's not Granato....it's injuries and bad bounces

It must be really disappointing for some free agency who signed with Avs. Goaltending issue wasn't addressed, owner penny pinching and now... we have no coach.

I think it's going to be a while. This franchise will need to miss the playoffs...get a top-5 pick (and I think it's quite clear that's where we're headed this year) and when we turn it around, when everything is in place and the players we have are the right ones but we still aren't getting the playoff results, I think he'll be smoothly replaced by "re-positioning him within the organization". He'll be the new "Vice-President in charge of systems development " or something like that.

Yeah. This definitely is not what Ryan Smyth signed up for.

I can't believe we're so close to being bottom 5 in the entire league. We're really close to being eligible to win the #1 pick.

And Tony Granato still hold his job.

I wonder why we never addressed the second period meltdown.
How many times have we get outscored in the second period?

If someone could send me that snippet of video right there - where Clark got completely abused twice in under 10 seconds by two separate players - we'd simply have to post the link, rather than talk about how bad he is defensively. Jeeeezus.

Yeah, they have some injuries, but this is some ugly stuff.

I give the **** up. I can't believe it. I'm a Chiefs fan (grew up in SE KS - blasphemy to you guys, I know ) so I know what it's like. I just can't believe our AVs are this Fing bad. That said, we have been spoiled - on NHLtv they showed game 6 of the 2001 finals - we're just a HOF goalie and 2 HOF defensemen from winning a cup

It is nice to see Wolly and Stewie deveop though... I think Stewie is my new favorite AV.

...about the same amount of times we've been outscored in the 1st and 3rd periods?

Seems that way anyway.

If on Tuesday night:

We get abused again by the Blue Jackets, the Maple Leafs beat the Panthers, Blues beat the Canucks and Lightning beat the Thrashers we'll be 26th in the league and just two points ahead of the #27 Lightning. Wow. A couple weeks ago it didn't seem like we could slide into the bottom 5.

I unfortunately live in Columbus. My fiance and I nearly spent over $600.00 to see Footies return to the Blue*aggots. I hate everyting to do with hockey right now.
